Somehow I have a charge for saving smart on my credit card statement for $1. I tried calling the automated number but obviously I don't have a membership number and my phone number isn't pulling it up. The only offer I did linked to saving smart was passport to fun but it said I was ineligible for this offer at this time so I didn't think I was signed up for saving smart. I never rec'd any confirmation from them.

I went to there homepage to email them filled out the form sent it and in my inbox I have a message from the postmaster saying delivery failed will not continue trying. Has anyone emailed them before and got that message and yet it went through? How the heck can I cancel this? I don't want next month to come around and be charged for this again. I guess I could call my credit card company to block the charge but that just seems like such a hassle.
 
There are several offers that will sign you up for Savingsmart if you are not careful and sometimes if you are. Call 1-800-316-8774 to cancel.

These are the trial I did that automatically signed me up for SavingsSmart. You might want to see if you did any of these and then call them back as one of them cancelled my SavingsSmart for me (had to talk to an operator to do so).

Value Max (did through Treasure Troopers)

Like I said, I talked to an operator in regards to one of these and asked about savingssmart and she cancelled it for me also. If you did one of these I would call the trial program and ask them about it.

I don't know if it's automated or not but it is the number listed in the offer to call and cancel. Give it a try.
 
I guess I'll just ask all the offers when I call to cancel if they have a saving smart charge. I can only find the automated number! How annoying there has to be people that work there with lines that aren't automated. Everytime I enter my phone number to try to get my ID# it says we are sorry to hear you are having trouble please send an email. Which didn't even work yesterday.
 
Did you call the company that signed you up. Look back at the offer and find all the numbers you can and call them. You will have a monthly fee if you don't cancel.

I've been calling everyone not having much luck. I know that I'll get charged if I don't cancel which is why I'm trying so hard to find out who it was!
 
Apparently I was signed up for Savingsmart.com w/a Pricestore trial I did last week. I cancelled the Pricestore trial within the trial period, but just received an email from Savingsmart about my "membership" w/a member # today!! I immediately tried to login & sure enough I'm a member! I called the automated # & cancelled, but I don't know if I cancelled it before being charged an insane amount! (I have all my trial documentation at work.) I know I haven't seen even a $1 charge for Savingsmart on my cc, so I hope that stays that way!! I did ask for more information on my cancellation via the website link....???????????
 
This just happened to me today!!!!

I accidentally signed up for the todays escapes? and they nicely deleted my membership and reimbursed me the &1.00 charge.

When I saw this billing I almost flipped my lid because I don't remember at all signing up for anything else.

I too had problems calling through and I sent a nasty e-mail.

I see on my bank statement that it comes from the same area as todays escapes? I wonder if they are connected??
 
I JUST CALLED UP TODAYS ESCAPES which is AFFLIATED WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY took me off and gave me the $ credit. The number is
1 800 798 0664.
 
These guys got me too! I'm not sure how they did, but I found this phone number 1-203-324-7635. They will be able to connect you with a real live person from saving smart. She was able to cancel my membership and said they will refund my $1 fee. Yes, it is a long distance number but I used my cell since I have TONS of minutes, so it didn't cost me anything.

Pretty nice how they don't provide a number with any real people available to talk to. This really makes me mad...... :mad:

Thank you for the number I"ll have to keep that for future reference. I know that this will probably happen again since they are associated with every offer I do. I was going to call them but I just rec'd a response to my email today. Apparently I was signed up for saving smart when I tried to sign up for passport to fun and was ineligible. I thought I was in the clear since I couldn't sign up for passport to fun so I figured that automatically cancels me signing up for the offer with it. Guess not!

So everyone else be careful if you are ineligible to sign up for one offer after you enter all your info it doesn't mean you won't be signed up for the offer with it!
 
I had called last week ( the total escapes number) and they took me off and credited me the amount. Very nice about it. I also asked if they were affliated with anyone else because I did NOT want any other trial memberships. My acct was credited.
