Savings Booklet

Has anyone purchased tickets online through Universal and gotten the savings booklet they are currently offering? It says it has savings of $150 in food and merchandise discounts for use throughout Universal Orlando Resort. I was wondering what the actual coupons are and is it worth it to purchase a ticket from here to get this savings booklet.

I found it was less expensive to buy them at my local AAA office. $100 for the 7 day 2 park unlimited pass.

I just purchased my tickets off the Universal site and it gave me a coupon to print out that said I could pick up the booklet when I redeemed my tickets at the park - so I have no idea what's in the coupon book itself.

If you have AAA make sure you bring your card with you. You can save 10% on dining (except for Emerils) and in the shops (except the carts).

I've gotten the coupon book a few times. It has discounts for several (but not all) of the restaurants and counter service eateries in both the parks and the restaurants at the Universal hotels as well as some of the gift shops. Sorry I can't remember the exact percents-off, it's not huge, probably like 10-15-20%, and with some places there were time restrictions, for example 10% off at Burger Digs after 4pm. I've only used a couple of the coupons because I can usually do better with our annual pass discounts.

I was considering getting my tickets through the AMEX card deal and assumed I would not get a savings booklet and was trying to figure out if it would be worth. After the responses I decided the savings booklet wasn't really worth it and purchased the tickets with the AMEX deal, low and behold I got the coupon for savings booklet. So now we'll see if we actually use it.
