Hey all,

How much were you guys able to save at the end of your CP (fall)? Is it possible to save up for it or do you live paycheck to paycheck?

Thanks for your help!

I had one of the highest paying jobs (BBB Hostess) because we got our base pay plus cash tips once a week so I think besides lifeguarding, BBB was the next highest paying CP job. I typically used my cash for eating out or small purchases at the grocery store. Rent comes out before your check so what you have left is for groceries, gas, etc.

I think by the end of the 6 months, I had saved enough to pay my first month's rent at a townhouse in the area for my professional internship so it was around $450 but I also didn't sit at home after work every day..we went parasailing at WDW, ate at a lot of the restaurants, shopping, spa, etc. I was able to do fun things and save a tad. If I were having to pay a car payment, health insurances, etc, I wouldn't have been able to do the fun things!

So you are able to save money but if you are paying for a ton of bills aside from just rent, gas, groceries and small bills on the side, probably not unless you are working like crazy which can happen too depending on your location!

My current role is Custodial and im staying in a 3br in patterson and after rent, food ($30-$70 weekly inc eating out), buying shotglasses (i have a 200+ glass collection), and other things i will end up this program with less than the 300 that i came down here with. I also have to take into consideration that right now i have the flu (which has cost me nearly $200 so get the shot! and if im lucky ill get to work the 31st to make rent) and i have a vehicle. my roommate who works odf at studios is going to bring home about $700 but hes gotten scheduled for 50+ hours the last two weeks, was given a lot of food, but has a vehicle as well. A third roommate who knows a few characters is going to be ending the program about a grand in debt with no car. It all depends on your life style and how you handle yourself.

Edit- phones, we all have different versions of the droid with unlimited data so that also has added up
