So I went to DLR on Saturday afternoon for a few hours with a friend. When we passed by various things, I stopped to take a few photos of some things I thought might be of interest to many here based on some FAQs that pop up. Life's been busy and I'm fighting a bug so it's taken a few days for me to pull this together. Enjoy.

We had lunch a White Water Snacks. I have never eaten there for lunch. I really liked the chicken sandwich, although I have to say the bun was sort of tough. We shared a fruit tray which was delicious! We sat outside and watched people in DCA while eating. It was a nice lunch place.

Then we headed into DCA. We were going to ride/play TSMM. It was about 1:30 pm. There was a 30 minutes wait and the single rider line was not open. We passed since we had limited time.

At some point we went by the World of Color construction area. Can't wait for this to be done! It looks VERY cool. Anyone else a fan of the Dancing Waters Show at the DLH? :goodvibes

Anyone know what those tracks are for?

Then, we were off to the Animation Academy, but were thrilled to have an old friend we had not seen in a long time slow our progress there when we crossed his path. As soon as I held up my iphone to take a picture, he came right up to me and said, "CHEEEEEEESE!" :wizard:

So nice to see an old favorite friend! Then a young boy became fascinated and they went for a walk together.

After spending a great time in the Animation Building (LOVE that place!), it was time to move on. I have pictures of Turtle Talk with Crush, the zeotrope, and some of the entry area (where I could sit forever) if anyone wants to see some. Just let me know. :goodvibes

It was about 30 minutes before the Pixar Parade when we decided to head over to DL. Here's the crowd level along the route 30 minutes before the parade. Oh, and forget about the discussion of leaving towels to reserve your territory... how about strollers? Or ECVs? :upsidedow

Honda has a current promotion: 50 prizes in 50 days. Here's the display in the Esplanade:

Then once inside Disneyland it was time for pin trading, listening to Park music entertainment, and all sorts of other stuff we love doing on our quick visits - none of which include any attractions (or lines ;) ). Probably nothing anyone wants to read about so... on with things people always ask about.

Jump forward a little time-wise...
On the way out of the Park, we passed by the Times Board about 5:30pm and I thought about everyone here always asking "How long is _____?" This picture is for you:

People were waiting for Celebrate! A Street Party to begin all along Main Street. Here's the hub about 5:45pm (45 minutes prior to Celebrate!)

Then we interrupted our exodus to enjoy one of my favorite musical groups at DL (perhaps due to my own band involvement during school): Disneyland's All American College Band. Here's a few shots of them, and what I know many of you wonder about, the people on Main Street about 6:00pm (30 minutes prior to Celebrate!). For taking these pictures, I ducked under the ropes along the walkway. It was about 3 people deep at this point.

Click here to hear the music.

Here's another shot I took on our way in to the Emporium for those of you wondering about crowds. This is Main Street (near the Emporium) about 15 minutes before the start of "Celebrate! A Street Party."

1245793244.jpg

While inside the Emporium I saw took these pictures for a few of you here. (Come one, I know at least of one of you out there wants to see this!) Halloween merchandise has arrived at the Emporium.

And a we walked by this, I thought people here would be interested, so I took a few pictures of the soon-to-be changed back Opera House.

So, it's Saturday night, 7:00pm, I have exited the Park, and passing by the security checkpoint. Here's the line going in.

And it was off to the tram to meet my DH for dinner.

Hopefully I have answered some of the "How long?" "How many?" "What's happening?" questions that come up frequently.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Thanks for the recap! I was in the parks most of the day on Saturday too. I figured that the crowds were pretty low (comparatively) since it was a blockout date, but Sunday wasn't bad either. Monday and Tuesday sure felt more hectic to me. Not that 65 minutes for Space Mountain is great, but I figure that unless the park is dead that's almost always going to be high. We generally waited 15 minutes even with Fastpasses!

Nemo's line said less than 30 minutes shortly after fireworks, though. I didn't start trying to keep time of stated time versus actual time until the last few hours of my vacation, so I don't know if it really was that "short", but the wait was fun if you like rock music, because there was live music to listen to across the walkway. :) Though I did wear earplugs...yes, I'm not so cool. :flower3:

The live music you mentioned hearing while waiting at Nemo... Yes, the TLT Dance Party. We stopped by there for a bit. It was fun. Someone asked previously if kids would enjoy this. I had replied that when we were there, it was almost all adults. On Saturday there were a lot of kids dancing, spinning, and, well, being kids. Fun times for all. :)
