Hello, Sassy Halloweenies! Yes, I know that Halloween is over but the candy remains so you are still Halloweenies to me. We had teeming numbers of trick or treaters last night and scads of adults walking with them, cups in hand. I myself was sipping on a cosmo to make the evening all the more festive. The evening was short, though, because we had to get up so early for a swim meet. BamBam swam his first breastroke event (he's been taking lessons from that frog you sent me a while back) and did very nicely. Barney swam well too, so I guess that makes the 5 am wake up worth it, right? Right? Someone tell me I am right!

Becca - Are you a frozen or on the rocks margarita girl?

Shannon - we had some Halloween mischief in our neighborhood last night too, but not to the extent of smashing a solar light! We just had a smashed pumpkin - I'd be really po'd about the light!

Bonnie - It's good to see you here! How ya been, Hagatha? Are you feeling all better now? How many days until our trip?

Angie - did you give away a lot of candy, Grandma? Oh, and I am going to reply to your pm - my flight info just got changed and I need to check if the numbers are the same. I'll get on the stick!

Tricia - I have wondered about the Mike Rowe picture too! Maybe he was squishing blueberries!

As for my ridiculously early shopping trip (not to rub it in Tricia's face or anything ), but, I got:

2 winter coats
1 pair Carter's pants
3 pairs Carter's pj's
2 longsleeve shirts
1 sweatshirt

all for $122! I was amazed! The coats themselves were originally priced at $110 and $80. I got a lot of the stuff w/ a 55% early bird sale, plus I had a coupon for an extra 20% off total, AND $10 in Kohl's cash I saved from earlier this month. Man do I love bargains!

Ok, pyschotic rant over.

We just got back from a get-together at one of Ryan's old high school buddies that we haven't seen since our wedding. There were sooo many babies! All cute little girls too, which is always a bit thrilling for me! Nice to hold them, sniff their adorable little heads, and then give them back to mommy when they stop smelling so adorable!

Bucket got me more than malware, it got me a backdoor virus. Spent all day yesterday trying to get rid of it. I am now typing on a new system. Thought I had it, checked this morning and my system had been accessed all night.

To spot check your system, look in notepad hidden folders. You are looking for a series of "blockpxps/34" type files. Do not accept an e-mail from me. As I may not be sending it.

E-mail from photobucket this morning, go back to the page and get a screen shot for us. OK, I'll get right on it.

Good afternoon all. I went to the casino today and of course did not home home a winner. Had lots of fun and a wonderful buffet so it was all worth it.

The buffet was not on Weight Watchers and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Tomorrow I'll be paying for it when the scale is up but for today it was good.

How was everyone's weekends??

Good! Shopped, ate too much candy, went to a cookout, played tennis, cleaned my house... Only bummer was that we found out Reece's best friend's parents are getting divorced. This little boy has been like a 2nd son to me since they were in kindergarten (went on vacation with us to the beach this year, is always over here...)

So heartbreaking to see him upset, and now Reece is walking around wondering if Ryan & I are getting divorced too! Had to talk to him about why it happens, and why HIS mom & dad are just fine.

What did everyone else do this fine weekend??

Good Morning Sassy Ladies!

We had a busy busy weekend and I really like having one of those every now and again. Friday night we went to the football game. We lost by one point but it was fun. The band all dressed up in costumes instead of their normal wear and it just brought about a different vibe to the game. Saturday Kelsie worked, Kendall got a hair cut and Colin had a birthday party. That afternoon we went to a corn maze in Mississippi. Fun times! We waited to enter until dark and we all brought our flash lights. I'm here to report that we made it out in about 1 hour. We all went to Cracker Barrell to eat after and I bought a lovely Santa bowl that I'll be using for Christmas Eve this year. Yesterday, well I already posted about my loss at the Casino and my pigging out at the buffet.

Today I get to play catch up on and try to drink enough water to flush out a couple of pounds.

Judi I hope today was the day you take Cole back to the Ortho for that early morning appt.

Shannon it's so hard when we have young ones and someone close to them gets divorced. I remember having that same talk with Kendall a few years ago when her best friend went through the same thing. So sad really.

Good Morning all!!

Shannon~I was with you at the big Kohl's sale, although I didn't get there until 7:00. I tried on TONS of clothes, but sadly most looked like crap on my fat bod! I did get one pair of jeans, a pair of shoes and 3 tops for $88. Not too shabby.

We had a gazillion TOT's Friday night. It was ridiculous! Honestly, I shouldn't have to take out a loan to buy candy!! Although, I must say that it irritates me a little that so many kids from other neighborhoods "bus" in to our neighborhood to TOT. Since when do I have to treat the whole city?? Luckily, no vandals in our 'hood.

Is it too early to put up my Christmas decorations?

Hiya Sassies! Happy Monday!

Halloween was a lot of fun. Popcorn and Margaritas were a huge hit. Unfortunately, while the women took the kids trick or treating the men induldged a bit too much. Lets just say Brian was in the doghouse all weekend. The Wild Bull was fun too until I saw a guy pull down his britches in the middle of a crowd and urinate. I never saw security move so fast! It was nuts and not really my scene anymore. There were some great costumes, my favorite was Count Chocula he was handing out cereal. I have pic of him with Brian and another friend, I'll have to post it later.

Where are you Judi? You know how we worrry!

Becca, your night sounds fun! (Maybe a little too fun for Brian? ) And I'm glad I missed the urinating man. That's one trick I could do without. Besides, I prefer to sneak up on them when they're going about their business in the men's room at, let's say, a wax museum.

Angus--- Sounds like you hit the mother load of ToT-ers! Or maybe you were giving out such good candy that kids were swapping costumes behind the cacti and were coming back for thirdsies?


Judi, I think these computer issues are pushing you over the edge. I am understanding less & less of your posts! Can someone get me a translator? Seriously, I hope you get all of your viral issues squared away!

BamBam has the day off today so he went to school with me. Now, Barney really loves being around little kids but BamBam can take them or leave them. So, after the 15th time of me saying "sit down on your bottom, ______", he asked me "Mom, are they always like this?" Oh, little BamBam, this is nothing. Just wait for the blow out diapers that are sure to occur after consuming massive amounts of Halloween candy!

Becca, we want details of Brian's doghouse offense. And, inquiring minds want to know - did Chet get a margarita too?

Shannon - good shopping, my friend! Was this at Potomac Mills? I haven't been there in ages. I am sorry about Reece's friend - that is soooo hard for kids to understand. Are his living arrangements going to change? I have read about parents who get divorced and the child stays in the home while the mom and Dad rotate in and out. Seems much fairer to the child, I think.

My mom is going to be here any minute. She's watching BamBam tomorrow for me, and is staying the night. I love her to pieces, but I need her to zip it about this election. Yes, I am still one of those silly undecided voters and I need to complete my research before tomorrow! Maybe I will vote for one of you fine ladies instead. Who among you wants to be president?

But hey, I figure I save us a ton of money shopping there. Have to buy clothes, might as well get them on sale!

I had to laugh at Bam Bam's reaction to the tots. I feel the same way! Love my kids, but a group of other people's tots... wears me out! I don't know how you & Bonnie do it. You're special people, that's for sure. Kudos.

Good Morning.

I heard Mark's alarm go off at 5:00 but I was determined to fall back to sleep since the kids are off. The phone rang at 6:30 so I'm up now.

I'll probably go vote around 9:00 I guess. The kids and I are going to Sam's Club so I'll stop on the way. We are having a Saints game party on Sunday for about 50 people. I need to buy all the goodies that go along with hosting and what better place than Sam's. You are all welcome to come. The drinks will be flowing.
