Sassy Somethings - Happy November

Oh Becca

Would building a ramp help? We're free this weekend to come down and help.
My brother is up here so I can get farther from home.

Thanks so much for the offer, but I don't know how to build them a ramp. There are 12 steps no matter how you go out of their house. I think they need to look into moving the driveway up to the top of the house. They are trying to sell it, but in this market that probably won't happen.

Good morning! I am off today -- Lots of chores on the list today. We would have been going camping if it wasn't supposed to rain tomorrow. Oh, well, I brought a movie home to watch -- Lars and the Real Girl. Is it any good??

Becca - Hope the in-laws are on the mend soon. That is rough.
Judi - How is Mom?

A shout out to you all -- Shannon, Wilma, Bonnie, Judi, Heather, Tricia, Angie, Becca, Kimmy, Rella, Shirley, and anyone I forgot.

Volleyball season finished last night!! I am actually looking forward to getting this dump cleaned up.

Good Morning, Sassies.

I'm currently sporting the invasaligns and let me tell you.... I have lost them more then I can count :headache:

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, WILMA!! Glad to hear it was good

Julie, I must tell you, I LOVE those kitties.

Hi ladies, I'm back from Sam's and have everything put away.

Judi, Kelsie's retainer is glued to the back of her teeth. It's a good thing too because when she had her palate expander she threw it away twice. :sad2: And yes I dug through the garbage on two different occasions and found it.

She still needs some adjusting so we go this route, then the glue.
She may be looking for a part time job. Kimmy, I know what you mean about losing it.

I'm glad we had the normal metal as long as we did.:rotfl2:

Hey there, Sassies! I just got my fabulous birthday present from you fine ladies in the mail - Woohoo! I have already lit the candle so my house is smelling super-fine without me having to cook anything. And, I love the Papyrus and Border's gift cards! How did you all know my obsession with paper? Papyrus is a guilty pleasure store for me:flower3: . Thank you all so much!

What does everyone have on tap for the weekend? I am doing "me" things - having coffee with my sister, doing some shopping, enjoying some quiet. DH has extended my birthday into a birthweekend, and this was part of his plan. Of course, there still will be the occasional swim practice/soccer game to attend, but any day would probably feel odd without one of those.;)

Judi - Thanks for the shout out in the thread title. It's definitely nifty not to be fifty - forty is all I can handle at the moment!

I bought my first christmas gift today! Tricia, are you done yet?;)

Becca - I hope your MIL feels better soon. How did she hurt her knee?

Heather - come on over for some cake. You can never go wrong with cake!

Julie - I may soon be joining the ranks of the early-risers-thanks-to-a -puppy. One of Linus's neice's is having a litter soon and I think we will be getting one. I miss having a giant fuzzy creature roam the house. Maybe we can teach the puppy how to IM Atlas and they can entertain each other in the wee hours of the morning!

Shannon - where is the Toad report? And the Tiki pictures? You alll know you have to let me Tiki in February, right?

Angie - is your back all better? Seven months until forty, eh? I can say that 40+1 day feels better than 40 flat. We shall celebrate early at the meet, I say! Umbrella drinks all around!

Bonnie - how is your class? Mine were monsters today! I made them run laps around the courtyard to get their wildness out before snack. Given their age and the inherent stubbiness of their legs, you can imagine how it went. I think it is the run-up to Halloween, maybe the sugar has entered the house early! Or, maybe they have Election anxiety! Perhaps the negative ads are wearing on their psyches - it could be anything, you know!

Tricia - do your kids do winter sports? What will Colin's team's record be at the end of the season, do you think?

Kimmy - thanks for the birthday salutations! It's the year of the Mammogram - woohoo!:woohoo: :sad2:

Hi to anyone I missed. Gotta run - swim practice calls and then Barney is attending his first middle school dance. My baby is growing up!

Glad you like your loot Wilma! As for knowing your secret obsession with Papyrus...:rolleyes1 I have a very long-term memory for those types of things! Tricia, Becca, & Judi would do well to start inserting hints in their posts now! Your weekend plans sound great! Kudos to DH for giving you some girl time for your birthday!

Glad you got your gifts Wilma!

My mother in law had surgery today to fix her broken leg and after that heals she will have a knee replacement. I guess she pushed one bone into another so it had to be fixed before they can replace her knee. She is in the hospital until Sunday. I don't know when they will do her back surgery now.:confused3

Wilma, my fil fell down the steps and she was in front of him and broke his fall and fell the rest of the way down the steps. She took the worst of it, he's banged up a little, but not too bad.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good Morning Judi.

Wilma I'm glad you like your birthday gifts. I'm not sure what Papyrus is. We don't have one of those around here. Enlighten me please.

Kelsie takes the ACT test for the first time this morning. I had to set my alarm to be sure she gets up for 6:30. The test starts promptly at 8:00 and should last until noon.

Becca, let me know if you need anything. My prayers are with Mr. Becca's Mom.

Julie, Welcome back to a little free time. Thanks for coaching. :cheer2:

Wilma, Have a nice Birthdayweekend.

If I forgot ya, please edit and insert a name.;)

Mornin Tricia

Go Kelsie :teacher: :yay:

Tricia, they grow up too quickly.

I think I might take the kids to see High School Musical this afternoon. Mark will be absorbed in the TV all day today. It's the Breeder's Cup Races today and for those not in the Horse Racing circuit it ranks up there with the Kentuckey Derby for horse fans (which he is).

ETA~I have biscuits in the oven and it just beeped. I'm trying to get Kelsie to eat something non sugary this morning.

Mmmmm, biscuits sound yummy this morning, Tricia! Good luck to Kelsie -- those stupid tests always gave me a headache. I always went in with pencils and advil....

Alas, there were no pics of the actual ride, as I was too enthralled! Plus, Mr. Toad's driving abilities are of the sort that would make clear pictures unlikely...

Shannon, I never got to see Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Thanks for the pictures!

Hi Sassies! :wave2: How is everyone doing? Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Mine has been good (I mentioned it on MC) but let me also add that I am concussed! I was sitting at a bar and reached down to get my back and I bonked my head super hard on the edge of the counter. I have a big old goose egg and look like a damn fool!

Wilma! Glad you had a nice birthday, lady! I miss ya!

Shannon, love the pics of Mr. Toad. I love that ride. Did I tell you that when Heather was little (like 3) the ride broke down on us right at the part where he is in HELL? We were stuck in HELL for like 20 minutes! Traumatized poor heather!

Becca, the donky kisses the albatross at a quarter past four.

Angus, where are you, lady? How's your weekend going? Did you do any boozing?

Judi, thanks for being such a good friend! :flower3:

Squiddy, you added me as a facebook friend! Woot! Now you're in for it, missy!

Julie, how is coaching going?

Kimmy, what's new with you, hag?

Howdy to all our other pals! :wave2:

Happy Sunday Sassies! Today is our family Christmas party with my dad. He's getting the heck outta here next week. He'll be heading your way Angie so be on the look out for a bald, 60ish man driving a big white truck pulling a fifth wheel the size of Rhode Island. Avoid for your own safety!:yay:

Shannon, I love the Mr. Toad pics. I miss him even though I do enjoy the Pooh ride too. Mr. Toad and Dumbo were my faves as a tyke!

Judi, how's mom? Brian has to build a small ramp for his mom today. She's coming home and can't put any weight on her leg for 2 weeks so she will be stuck in the basement. At least its only 2 steps instead of 15!

Bonnie, why were you reaching down to get your back? And Squiddy didn't add me as a facebook friend.

Good morning Judi! Good morning Toot!

Wow, Bonnie, I bet it was difficult for anyone at the bar to take you seriously after that episode!! :lmao:
Volleyball season is over and I am starting to feel like a homebody again (when my body is home). :goodvibes We have elementary wrestling open mat two nights a week, scouts 1 night a week, and Atlas starts puppy school Tuesday (1 night a week for 6 weeks). He is so excited about it and is looking forward to making new friends. I'll try to take his picture this week so you all can see how big he is now (50#)...

We have a family dinner tonight (crab legs, shrimp, and steak) and I am looking forward to it.

I have to run. We need to make a cake for tonight.

Have a Sassy good day!!

Good morning Becca!! I hope your mother-in-law gets better soon. That is tough. My son was reading your post over my shoulder and said "as big as Rhode Island!!" It was funny....
