Sassy Somethings - Happy November

Good afternoon, Sassies! I have about 10 minutes on the computer until Barney comes home and steals it to help him work his way through another mountain of homework. I tell ya, this homework thing is a royal pain. He spent 18 hours on it from Thursday through Sunday and it still isn't all done. Can you say, "End of the Trimester"? Heaven help us all!

It's my last day in my 30's, so I am eating Oreos. Makes sense, doesn't it?

Heather - karate for 4 year olds? That is ambitious!:) I am glad the teacher is patient. He'll get the hang of sitting once he sees the other do it for a while. Or, perhaps he's going to grow up and be a stripper and he's just getting a jump on it while he has a captive audience.

Becca - it is about time Chet got a wife. Will it be a civil ceremony, or are you renting a church? Will we all be invited to the reception? Will there be shrimp and a fancy wedding cake with antler decorations? Perhaps in a lovely shade of blaze orange?

Tricia - :dance3: Hooray for the lost poundage! I loved Baby Mama too.

Shannon - I know you have probably written about it, but how was California? Did you ride the Toad for me? How was the Tiki room?

Kimmy - I found cooking for one simple, but you had to have freezer space. I would cook a meal for 4-6 and then divide it into portions for the freezer. Then, you only had to cook 4-5 times a month but if you did not have a freezer you were screwed.

Bonnie - where are you , lady? I need good Christmas craft ideas for my little ones - got any?

Angie - Did we make ADR's for the Feb. meet yet? I remember we talked about them, but was I supposed to call?

Judi - haven't heard about your mom lately - how is she? How is the job search going? Is Cole in highschool now? I must say, the collies on the front page are stunning. I think that Linus would have loved nothing more than to wear a hamburger suit in his spare time.

Hope I haven't forgotten anyone. I need to go - Barney has just come in. Have a great day, ladies!

Hey everyone!!
It is 31 degrees here -- ick! Tonight is our last volleyball game. I am ready for a break. The house so needs my attention. Not to mention the need to hang out with my Sassie Chicks.

I hope you all are well and have a great Thursday.

31 degrees  and it's only October. Julie I hear you on the needing a break from sports. Colin's fall baseball just ended on Saturday. I'm happy for the break now but in a week or two I'll be missing it again.

ETA~ Judi you make me nervous when you aren't the first poster of the day. Come out and play.

Happy 40th Birthday Wilma!!!! Hope its a great one!

Judi, I agree with Tricia you have to be the first poster every morning or it makes me nervous!

My mother in law was supposed to have back surgery today, but as they were leaving the house my father in law fell. She was a few steps in front of him and he took her out too. Of course she broke his fall and she is really banged up. They think her arm is broken, her toe and she has various scrapes and bruises. Please say a prayer for her please.

Oh Becca, thats terrible. Prayers being said for your inlaws.

On a happier note..............Happy Birthday Wilma! 40 is just another number, don't let it get you down.

I actually haven't posted much about my trip yet--- guess I should get on that? I actually took video of the Tiki room for ya! My DH thought I was a nutjob, but, that wouldn't be the first time!

Oh Heather your Joey stories always make me laugh. :lmao:

I loss 1.6 this week for a grand total of 5 lbs. since returning to Weight Watchers but more importantly 30 pounds since I first started in February.

Way to go Tricia!!! I think I probably GAINED 1.6 this week! (Darn pumpkin pies. Who keeps baking these things anyway?:confused3 Oh wait. That'd be me...)

Hey girls, good afternoon.

Congrats, Tricia!! 30 pounds!! I'm trying to lose too, but I haven't been feeling very well and dang it it's hard to diet while sick!
(Yes I am the queen of all excuses)

I must be your long-lost twin!

That's horrible! Thoughts & prayers for them. I'm assuming they're going to delay the surgery?

I hope it's a fabulous day!! I agree with Tricia-40 is just a number. And if it makes you feel better I'll be joining you in the big 4-0 club in a little over 7 months!! I made all the ADR's and we got everything we wanted. :cheer2:

Becca~I'm so sorry about your in-laws!! Is your FIL OK? I hope they both recover soon! Just what your MIL needed when she already had a bad back!

Shannon~the Broncos stunk it up on Monday night football-totally embarassing...:sad2: And yes, I did grow up in Colorado. I left about 8 years ago and wish I could go back every day!! I'm with ya' on the pumpkin pies-I'm going to bake one this weekend and I made pumpkin bread last weekend. And pumpkin pie is only good with tons of whipped cream, and pumpkin bread is only good with tons of butter which makes them even more diet friendly-NOT!

Tricia~30 pounds!!!! You are my hero! :worship: You're inspiring me to get started again on the ol' diet.

Judi~you know I love Hocus Pocus! I just Tivo'd it last weekend! Amuk amuk amuk...

Hi Heather, Julie, Kimmy and anyone else I forgot!!

Happy birthday Wilma!! i think i will go out and eat an entire cake in your honor:lmao: mmmmm. yummy....lmao

Hey, Sassies! Thanks for all of my birthday well-wishes! It was a fine birthday, I must say. I went into it quite ambivalent, woke up a bit forlorn, and came out of it a lot happier. I know it is just a number but what I think bothers me the most is that my Dad's life was three-quarters over by the time he was 40. I think it weighs heavily on my mind that that could be me too, so I need to get busy and start living.:) Anyway, your birthday cheer was great, and I really appreciate it.

Becca - I'm sorry about your inlaws! I hope they feel better soon!

Judi, Tricia, Bonnie, Heather, Becca, Julie, Angie, Kimmy - ya'll are the best!:cheer2: Have a great day tomorrow!

No wonder Minnie has a big smile on her face.

Good morning Judi. It's nice to see you here first thing. You know us Mother's worry when someone isn't here. So what exactly happened to the retainer?

Good Morning Tricia

This piece is like invisaline, rubbery plastic. She had a heating pad in bed :confused3 mouth piece falls out and warped the gum line area.
Replacement $170  but it is still useable so, she will not be doing dishes for the next 170 years to pay for it.:rotfl2:

Her metal retainer will be done next Wednesday

Oh and the heating pad has left the building. ;)

Happy Friday Sassies! Brian went to help his dad load his mom into the car this morning for her orthopedic surgeon appointment. They have stairs no matter what way you go out and she can't walk at all. Brian has 4 wheel drive so he drove up to the top of their yard so they could wheel her down 3 small steps and into the car. He says she looks awful, I didn't want to go over yesterday since she was resting. I hope she didn't do anything too bad to her knee.

Judi, retainers are the super evil part of the orthodonic world. I can't tell you the number of times I was searching through trash can looking for mine.

Tricia, that Minnie gets around I do believe! Look at those eyes, kind of suspicious.

Oh Becca

Would building a ramp help? We're free this weekend to come down and help.
My brother is up here so I can get farther from home.
