How long will it take from POR to go Downtown Disney by traveling on the Sassagoula River Cruise?

Also, how often does it run?
Every hour? Every Half?
Is there a schedule?

I would hate miss it by a couple mins and then have to wait a long time for the next.

How many boats are used? Is it just one?

My wife and I stayed in POFQ last year for our honeymoon, but sadly, we never got to go on the water taxi to Downtown Disney. We have since discovered this website:

if memory serves me right i believe the boat is every 15-20 mins. you will enjoy the boat ride very relaxing .....

I stay there every year. The water taxi is a wonderful 15 - 20 minute leisurely ride; there are usually two running; one leaving and one coming back. It stops at POFQ on its way from and back to POR.

They run from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you miss one, the other one is heading back to the resort. It is great, because I have gotten a chance to meet people waiting on the dock.....either coming or going.

When I go, after Thanksgiving, they are pretty quick, since there are few people staying at both resorts.

A few funny stories: one year, there was a guy that was originally in the Coast Guard, so I got to have a conversation with him since my brother was also in the CG. We had some wonderful conversations while waiting for everyone to board.

And one year, one of the girls was taking us back and wanted to give us a closer view of the golf course. Just as she was closing in on the shore, the sprinklers came around and all of us (including me) on the side of the boat closest to the shore were drenched. It was a hoot.

I forgot to add that it drops you off right near the base of the Rainforest Cafe - so don't forget to plan on having dinner there at least one night, or just walk around their store and also get a look at the aquariums.
