Hi! We're traveling to Saratoga Springs soon and since it is a newer resort, I've been having difficulty finding a lot of tips and such. I mean, we found the general ideas, but is there anything I just MUST know?
Also, if you have them, post some photos. We're staying in a one bedroom villa if you happen to have any pics. Thank you so much!

Also...how is the pool?

I'm so excited by the way!!! :woohoo:

Any info you have wold be so awesome!

Thank you!

We stayed at SSR last June for a few nights. It's super close to DTD so it's nice to walk there and there are great food options. The pool was really nice, though we actually used the quiet pool and LOVED it....so nice and relaxing. I don't think there is anything you must know, but I would suggest renting a car if you have not done so already. It's pretty far from the main parks and it's much more convenient to have your own transportation. We didn't think the food options were great but as I said earlier, it's a short walk to DTD so you'll be fine....have fun!!

We just stayed at SSR in January and loved the resort. :thumbsup2 It's very peaceful. I really can't think of any must-knows in regards to the resort. We stayed in the Springs section and were close to the main pool, a bus stop, and the spa, etc. We walked to both the Marketplace and West end of DD from our unit. Sometimes you may have to wait 20 minutes for a bus, but you will always get a seat. It may be helpful that the incoming bus loop is: Paddocks, Congress Park, then the Springs. There are DVC discounts at the spa, and members can rent movies free. I think that's true of all the DVC resorts. There is a boat launch near the main check-in area and the pro shop. You can ride a boat to DD. I think it comes every half an hour at the 15 and 45 minute (ex: 1:15 and 1:45). The pool is very nice. The kids loved the waterslide. There are lots of lounge chairs, two hot tubs, and Tower of Terror-era music. The water must be heated, because my kids never complained of cold even though it wasn't warm enough for me to swim.

We just got back from SSR 2 weeks ago and had a blast. We stayed in Congress Park and had a view of downtown disney from our balcony. The quiet pool and playscape in Congress park was under repair, my dd liked the pool near the check-in with the slide. The pool is heated! My parents were with us, they watched dd while dh & I sat in the hot-tub in the evening. The food is counter style, quick and kid-friendly. I heard they are opening a nicer restaurant this summer there. Downtown Disney is a short walk, we walked there to see La Nouba.

We used disney transportation our first day, but preferred my parents' car afterward, as it is easier to get around.

We used the workout room, but not the pampering spa stuff. Maybe on our next visit!

There is a nice little playground near the quiet pool. My DD enjoyed playing her in our Nov. trip while the teens hung out by the pool.
