Hi Everyone. This past June I was able to stay in a Saratoga Springs Grand Villa. It was AMAZING!!! Nicest timeshare room I have ever been in. Boy, was the place huge.

Next year I am again staying in a grand villa and I had my choice between Saratoga Springs or Old Key West. I know the Old Key West grand Villa is bigger but I picked Saratoga for a couple reasons. Primarily, I picked Saratoga because I like the pools better than Old Key West. I also liked being close to Downtown Disney. I also thought Downtownd Disney might do fireworks on the 4th but I have since learned from some Disney veterans that Downtown Disney doesn't do fireworks anymore, not even on the 4th. I knew Downtown Disney doesn't do fireworks on a weekly basis anymore but I was hoping the 4th of July would be an exception. No big deal, though. I had also read posts from people who didn't much care for the Old Key West grand villa.

So, what are your thoughts. Is the Old Key West grand villa better than Saratoga? I really liked having 4 full bathrooms in the Saratoga GV. I also liked the loft area upstairs and could see an airmatress or two going there and it is a nice area for kids to play. What I didn't like was the small balcony and I didn't like the utilty closet. I know the Old Key West grand villa has a much larger balcony and has an actual utility room.

I thought the Saratoga room had a bigger dining room. Am I right about that? Thanks.

I've not stayed in either, but floor plans and reports show that OKW has 4 bathrooms as there is a 2nd downstairs bathroom with shower. (In addition to the master and upstairs rooms)
OKW has a dining room table that seats 8 (like SSR) AND a table that seats 4 in the living area (perhaps you are thinking of pictures of that 2nd "game" table?)

I prefer the OKW GVs in every aspect, but especially because of the extra space and extra bathroom. The only negative is I don't care for the layout of the kitchen in the OKW GV, but that is only an issue if you plan to do a lot of cooking with more than one cook.;)

I stayed at the SSR grand villa, and I think it too had four bathrooms. One was off the kitchen. I had originally booked an OKW grand villa, but at the last minute (virtually like 3 days before) we were informed that a mistake had been made, but we were being moved to the SSR villa for the OKW number of points. "Upgraded" they said. We were so disappointed! Just from the pictures, I like the open floor plan at OKW. SSR has a living room and a separate dining room. You could have people in both, but not together. The whole idea of rooming together is to be with each other, no? We needed a HA villa, and I did think the HA was better at the SSR so it was okay. They gave us a DTD view right by the quiet pool. Also - I think one of the upstairs bedrooms at OKW has two double beds instead of two queen beds. The SSR had two queen beds in each of the upstairs bedrooms.
