Saratoga Springs 1 bedroom or All Star Music family suite?

So I own DVC and a close coworker of mine went last year the same time I did had 3 kids and 2 adults. I offered a studio and maybe a one bedroom couldn’t do a 2 for far less then what they paid for AS suite (Just my dues). They chose the AS suite and honestly I agree with them 2 bathrooms…. 5 people 1 bathroom is never. Good idea. You could get away with a 1br at Kidani village or Bay lake tower for a second bathroom As well as the washer dryer. At the very least the DVC at the Poly has 2 separate rooms with showers both with sinks and mirrors but only one Toliet. The room is not horrible with all the beds down I did it one with 4 I never felt overcrowded but 5 may change that. It is 100% doable you still have the balcony and a nice resort if there are some not so Disney moment.

SSR is a great resort. You all would feel really cramped in the Family suites compared to a one bedroom. I love being able to walk to Disney Springs also. The bus situation is not as bad as you think, they come around pretty often and the stops are quick.

While i'm not a fan of SSR, i feel it is well worth the extra to stay away from the all star resorts. The comfort level at SSR, it's location, plus all the other perks you have listed, are well worth the extra money. All stars are kind of out of the way, and the bus transportation (your only option) is inconvienient at best.

For 6 nights, looks like that is a $100 a day difference. Might be worth it for a washer/dryer and full kitchen. While not the big colorful Disney of the value resorts, there are Disney characters in some of the artwork in the one bedroom. My 7 year old and 4 year old loved the Saratoga Springs water splashground and the water slides. With a nice playground, boat rides to Disney Springs and Disney Springs resorts, and views of the Rainforest Cafe volcano from some parts of the resort, I think my kids would choose Saratoga Springs. My son liked the All-Star Music arcade (but Saratoga also has one) and the 3 Caballeros figures that decorate the pool, but All-Star Music seemed to me to be the least "Disney" of the All-Star resorts (though the others don't have family suites). While I think I would choose Saratoga, it also depends on if you will be in parks all day. If you aren't going to use the kitchen, or washer/dryer, or have much pool time, it might be worth saving money. When we stayed at Saratoga, we had 2 dedicated resort days to just use the pools and go to Disney Springs and other DS area resorts (it's worth a trip to Port Orleans for beignets).
