Hi

I am beginning to plan our very first trip home to Saratoga Spring! Sorry but I have a list of questions!!
Where would you recommend that we request to stay? Is there anything that I should know before I phone to book - what are they likely to ask me?
I want to book 10 days using points and then 2 days in cash. Can I do this all at once at the 11 month window or does it have to done seperately? I am getting nervous that I will muck it up!!

Which part of SSR to request will depend on what appeals to you. Do you want to be closest to Downtown Disney / handy for the boat to West Side / close to the Carriage House and main pool / overlooking the golf course or the waterway / etc. ? All are possible at SSR! My own favourite area is Congress Park, DH's favourite is across the lake from the main pool, but we'd also be happy pretty much anywhere else!

I think you can book only 7 days at a time if you are on the 11 month or 7 month window. You can book nights on cash as well as points at the same time, and your bookings will be linked (so it's treated as a single reservation and you won't have to check out and check in again for the cash part).

Member Services, on the whole, are very patient and helpful, so there's no need to feel nervous. Adding cash nights is very simple and will be handled by the same person.

What kind of unit will you be booking? The buildings at SSR are configured in a squared-off U and we like to be at the ends (or tops) of the U so that we're not overlooked. Our 3 stays have all been at Grandstand, which is the newest section and within easy walking distance of the Carriage House and boat dock. The idea of overlooking Downtown Disney does have an appeal and we may try for Congress Park one day.

You're probably aware that requests are just that and not guaranteed, but we've always been very lucky in having ours met. We made quite a few last time and I think we could have just piled them on, although the fear of appearing too demanding did reign us in.

Thanks for the replies. I will just have to take a deep breath and go for it!!
We are after a 1 bedroom near the start of July. I want to request an upper floor. We will go and study the map of Saratoga and see where we may like to stay. What other requests have people put in?
Can't wait to go home for the first time!
