Saratoga - Are you waiting to Add On until SSR become available?

If the points chart falls close to that of OKW, I think that SSR will be attractive. I have no plans to add-on there. DD location is not that big of a reason to add-on.

I would love to see another small offsite DVC. IMO, They add a lot to the overall program.

I (unfortuantely) agree with Dean. I too think that SSR will be the last DVC resort for the forseeable future.
I would also be surprised if SSR ever reached its announced size of 552 units. My guess is it would take between 8-10 years to sell that kind of inventory, which means your only looking at 30 years left. (It would require some major incentives during those last years to move them).

I think that SSR will be a first class resort with wonderful ammenities, that ends up in the 300 unit range.

Disclaimer: If Disney starts selling SSR with 50 use years, then it reaches full size and Eagle Pines follows closely behind.

I'd like to say I'm going to defer to wiser more experienced DVC hands but from what I can see there's a pretty wide cross section of opinions. Hmmmmmmmmmm, is that something new around here?

As I've said before about so many of the topics that are disussed on these boards, it all depends because there are so many factors the each of will consider when it comes time to analyze and make a decision.

For me personally, cost and points spread are important factors. Next on the list would be the way the resort turns out and the amenities offered. Oh, one other thing, I will probably consider what the DW has to say on the subject too. (yaaaaaaaah think?)

But, from what I've seen it looks pretty spectacular.

For my family at this point in time, low points will be a real advantage to SS. We just had a wonderful visit to the Wilderness Lodge, but the points were so much higher than OKW, which we love. I have an 11-month window at BCV but am reluctant to stay there because I know that if I choose OKW instead, I can have an extra vacation that year, and that matters to us now. We also drive to Florida and so OKW and SS seem perfectly convenient to us as they are close to DD, offsite eating/shopping, etc. If SS has a "bargain" point schedule due to it's more "remote" location, that may attract new buyers as well as add-ons.
