Are there many dedicated 2br at SSR? We are booked there for a week (myself, dh, dd 6, twins 1) and I was wondering if a dedicated 2br is better than a lock off. Any opinions? Which are laid out better for young families. We usually stay in a one br at OKW, but booked last minute and went for a 2br at SSR because the units are smaller. Good choice?

SSR has 360 Dedicated 2-Bedroom Villas and 432 Lockoff 2-Bedroom Villas.

With small children, a dedicated would be better as there will not be a door out to the hallway in the second bedroom.

A dedicated will be a unit with only one door to the outside.

A lock off will have two doors to the outside, because a lock off is simply a studio and a one bedroom.

if you will have children in the second bedroom I personally would not want the extra door to the outside.

a Dedicated will have two queen beds in the second bedroom, no kitchenette but more closest space.

Dedicated 2BRs will have one exterior entrance into the villa and the 2nd BR will have more storage space than in the lock-off (since there will not be a kitchenette in the 2nd BR). There will also NOT be a balcony off the 2nd BR. There is a privacy door into the 2nd BR and the 2nd BR will have 2 queen beds instead of 1 queen and the sleep sofa. Many with young children prefer the dedicated 2BRs for the above reasons.

2BR villas at SSR are about 1070 sq. ft. while 1BRs at SSR are 1005 sq. ft. (OKW 2BRs are 1410 sq. ft.).
