Ok.. Am I nuts?! We weren't planning to go away, but SWA had $49 flights... Like I said to DH it is like they are paying me to go!!! So 2 weeks out we bought the tickets for DD and I and away we went!
Departure day... Alarm doesn't get a chance to go off.. DD is jumping up and down.. I'm going to Mickey's Castle! I'm going to Mickey's Castle!!! So up I get.. Brew some coffee take a shower and wait until 7 am so we can make the 3 hour drive to the airport...
DD is great!! We put in the Disney CD's and away we go! 1st hour no problem, 2nd hour no problem... Look~! There is the airport.. No problem... Got a parking spot in the parking garage... Head to check in... There is a small line so we hope in line.. DD decides she has had enough waiting and says, tell "tell those big dummies I have to go to Mickey's Castle... They need to get out of my way!".. I of course and mortified and luckily the line moves quickly...
Security.. DD's sneakers have to come off because they light up... DD thinks she needs to have 1 sock off and 1 sock on... The screeners just laugh... Ok.. We are on the way to the gate...
WE get on the plane after a slight delay.. Ok!!! YAY!!! We are ready to go.. Not.. We sit on the ground for 50 minutes.. It is hot and people are getting GRUMPY!!! The FA's can't get an accurate count... There are Lap Babies in seats.. They finally get it counted... 2 Girls come on the plane.. FA's are rolling their eyes... The girls go off the plane.. The doors close.. We are on the run way..DD is shreiking! We are in the Air!!!! Half way through DD announces she has to go "poopy"... Ok.. I knew this would happen.. We go up to the bathroom, get in.. She sits down and NOTHING... I know she has to go, but she tells me it is too bumpy and doesn't have to go... It seems like we were in there forever.. The FA asks if she can help and I tell her... "First time in an airplane bathroom.." Back to the seats we go.. A few minutes later it's "MOMMMMMMYYY I HAVE TO GO POOOOOOPY!!!" Back up we go.. She is not getting off the potty until she goes... She sits and sits, and tells me the poopy's are stuck and I need to sing the pooopy song.. OY VE!!! Why did I ever make up the poopy song... So I sing it quietly and finally she is able to go.. Phew.. Crisis averted!!!
After a very uneventful rest of the flight@! flight, we land at MCO.. Catch a shuttle to the main terminal.. Find our Driver, get our bags and head to POP Century! After a quick check in we find our room in the 70's buliding accross from the goofy jets.. Before I have had a chance to go use the bathroom, DD is dumping the bag and looking for her swim suit!!!!
We change into our swim suits and head to the goofy jets, Hippy Dippy pool, and the kiddie pool... AHhhhhh.. Sun!! Yay!!! We made it!!! Let the adventures begin!!
