Sarah's Moving 2 AFRICA! The trip planned in 4 days! * THREE parks in ONE day! 5/10

So...where was I? :confused3

Oh yeah...the alarm. I went to bed as soon as we got back to the room and I am sure I was asleep before my head hit the pillow. In fact, I don't even think the lights were really out in the room before the lights were out in my head!

But the next morning I woke up to bright sunshine peeking through the window. Really bright sunshine. I picked up my iPhone, looked at the time and about had a heart attack! It was AFTER 9:00 AM!!! :scared1:

I jumped out of bed and turned around to see Amy sitting on the edge of the sleeper sofa. Bless her...she was completely ready to go. All packed. And just sitting on the edge of the sofa watching TV.

She just let us sleep.

But I freaked out...SARAH!!! Wake up!!!! We gotta GO!!!

So, we ran around getting ready and headed out of there as soon as we could. We grabbed a quick FREE breakfast at the hotel.

I thought we had a whole 2nd day and had figured we would do Epcot all day and finish the day watching Illuminations. :cloud9: But Amy and Sarah actually had to leave around 5:00 PM so that Amy could get her kids ready for school.

So we only had hours...

Amy and Sarah started asking some questions about the other parks...where they were...what they were. And they had an idea...They wanted to see them. All of them! ::yes:: In fact...when I told them about EE, Tower of Terror, RNR...They got seriously excited!! They like the thrill rides!

So...we made a split second complete adjustment and decided to do a little park hopping! :woohoo: Keep in mind...we still had ADR's at Coral Reef for early afternoon!

Our first stop was Animal Kingdom!!

We were going through security when I noticed a man put his fanny pack under his shirt and tried to sneak through security. :sad2: But, in great Disney fashion, an undercover security person just whisked him away. Across the "street" and into a side door. Whoops! Don't mess with Disney security!

All three of us in front of the Tree of Life.

I love this picture of Sarah! Her South Africa shirt in Animal Kingdom seemed so perfect!

We ran straight to EE and hopped in the single rider line! The wait looked to be about 20 minutes or more. But there was some problem in the line loading process. For some reason EE was telling everyone in line that they could not do a child swap. Including a couple with a special needs child in a wheelchair. So, during all of the discussion with the CM, they just let the single rider line fill up a lot of the cars...so the line was very, very fast!

I felt so bad for that couple...they had waited in line for over an hour and only one of them got to ride. If they had known me, I would have totally offered to watch him for them. :(

So, when it was time for us to load, they had another child swap discussion and all three of us got to load at once. In the same car! Which is awesome pixie dust because they had never been on it before and it was nice to be able to share the ride together! :thumbsup2

We opted to leave AK at this point. We had not been there long at all, but we were on a mission...to see both AK and DHS and make it to our ADR in Epcot!

Next up: Disney Hollywood Studios and the Three Amigos!

Oh My Goodness, where to start??

First, luv all the pix... you look radiant! :goodvibes

Second, Sarah, if you're reading, please be careful and take care of yourself!

Third, Wow!! I can't wait to see if you guys got to squeeze in everything you wanted to do!! popcorn::

Kathy

that is quite an ambitious last minute plan, kudos to you for going with the flow. not something i am known for as a matter of fact it might give me a small panic attack;)

Love the pics! Looks like a great time was had by all!
I can't wait to read all about your super park hopping!! Sounds like a busy afternoon!!

Hello All,

Thanks for you encouragement and support. I did not loose anymore pigs this morning which means the e-coli seems to be under control...yes Maroo...I am still sick but will most likely be tested for TB on Monday since my symptoms seem to follow that.

Second, I LOVE ANIMAL KINGDOM. I love the big tree and I love that roller coaster on the mountain!!! Maroo...I love this picture of all of us...and I agree...my Africa shirt was perfect for the day (I think Emma is wearing that shirt now...?) Animal Kingdom was a little foreshadowing of the Africa to come in my life. But I can't wait until next time we go to ride that ride again!!!!

I am still frustrated about the child swapping for that family on that ride...I still don't understand why they wouldn't let them go through when the single rider line was moving so well.

Remember the great security guy in that line too! Oh yeah and remember the pictures at the end and there was that one guy holding on to some girls neck screaming like a girl? If I bought other people's pictures I would have so bought that one!

Where is our picture from this ride? Does Amy have it? If so she needs to chime in and post!

Oh yeah...it was a good thing I was a FL resident and could afford that park hopper....all in all it REALLY DID PAY OFF!!!!:yay:

Thank you! :)

I can't wait to tell you all about it!!! :)

I actually had decided on this trip that those 2 days belonged to Sarah and Amy...so, really, whatever they wanted to do would be fine with me. It helped that I would be there for a couple of days on my own after they had to go home, so I knew I would see anything I missed. So, I was pretty excited about changing the plans for this! And it was fun!!!! We were on a MISSION!

Super PH is right! Super Parkhopper!!!

TB?!?!?! :scared1: They think you have TB? Seriously? Goodness, child! What are those people in South Africa doing to you? You have only been there 2 months? :headache:

Aw! AK is my favorite park!! I know, even better than MK! I love it too! Emma stole your shirt? For shame, for shame! I am glad you liked the rollercoaster on the mountain.

I am still frustrated about the child swapping for that family on that ride...I still don't understand why they wouldn't let them go through when the single rider line was moving so well.

I know. :sad2:

Girl! You have a much better memory than I do!! I have no idea where my picture is?!?! I will have to look for it. I don't even remember seeing it in my house?! Oh yeah, I never saw that picture...I know there were a LOT of people laughing VERY LOUDLY at a picture on the wall when I was paying for our picture.

Where is our picture from this ride? Does Amy have it? If so she needs to chime in and post!

Yeah...Come on, Amy...are you out there? Register and post, sister! :) The Three Amigos are up next... you know you want to chime in for THAT! :)

:rolleyes1

Tsk. Tsk. :sad2:

:lmao:

Great updates and photos! I rarely like photos of myself either but the photopass photographers usually manage to get a few good ones. Can't wait to see if you accomplish your super parkhop escapades in the few hours you had!

I've been reading and enjoying your TR but this is my first post......

Yikes oversleeping! I would just freak!

Can't wait to see what Coral Reef is like I hope there is food art!:goodvibes

Sounds like you needed an extra hour or two of sleep, but glad you could pop out of bed before it WAS too late to do all you wanted to. Criminiy! Who would stuff a fanny pack under their shirt, and expect to get away with it!!?? It screams "psycho with a gun" to me!! Geez, Loiuse- some people!

Wierd about the child swap thing. We child swapped that ride twice last year, and had no problems whatsoever. Strange...

Looking forward to seeing if you made it to your ressie :)

Okay, I know it freaked you out, but good for you for sleeping in. After your stomach not feeling so good the day before, it probably was really good for you! And I can't believe the circuit of parks you're going to do! I'm excited! :lmao:

The photopass guys and gals are more likely to get good ones when you let them take over a 150, too! ;) :rotfl2:

Thank you so much for posting!!! :)

Yeah...I did freak...but it turned out fine! :)

Food art...food art... :scratchin

That guy was pretty stupid. And I really believe he was just a dumb tourist. I bet he won't do THAT again.

That is what everyone was telling the CM there...that they do it all the time. I wonder if it was just an issue with that particular CM?

Ressie? What ressie? :confused3 J/K ;)

I am sorta excited to relive it myself, actually!! :) We did have a great time! :)

Wow, crazy park hopping! How did you fit it all in??? Guess I'll have to wait for more to find out:).

Ok, I am seriously ticked to hear that baby swapping was being allowed. That CM obviously did not have a clue what he was talking about. I would have been so frustrated. If we were there I would have been making a huge stink and requesting a manager. I'm having trouble finding a smilie to express my frustration. Guess this one will have to do :mad::mad::mad: Nice for you guys though that you got to ride quickly:thumbsup2

Sarah, I hope you feel better soon and I certainly hope you don't have TB!!

Trip, What trip?? Who are YOU??!!

Just kiddin'. Ha! You're right, this one is going to be a blast! But, I promise not to bag out on this one! This one's been interesting too.

I don't think the family asked for a manager. I actually talked to them and they were just so easy going. They just took their DS to the shop and shopped around while one of them took a turn on the coaster.

It made me sad. :(

Yeah...just because you have a pre-trippie started, does not mean you can back out on this one!! :)

And the park hopping continues!

We made our way out of the Animal Kingdom. Our ADR at Coral Reef was fast approaching. I suggested that we possibly skip it? :confused3 But both Sarah and Amy really wanted to eat there! There was no way we would make it to the ADR if we stopped at DHS.

So I called the ADR line to see if we could get a later ressie...(I honestly highly doubted it!)...I held for quite some time (this was when they were starting to use the new system). By the time the CM picked up the line, we had parked at DHS and I was on the tram. Have you ever tried to talk on a cell phone while riding the tram? :sad2: I don't recommend it! But the CM was very, very nice and we WERE able to get an ADR for a later time! :woohoo:

Of course, we had to take pictures at the hat! Especially since Amy and Sarah were actually going to be able to go to ALL FOUR PARKS in two days! How cool is that! :thumbsup2

Amy!

Sarah! I love this picture of Sarah and didn't even want the border to get in the way of this great picture! She is so HAPPY! :woohoo:

Maroo!

Then we headed to the Tower of Terror! :yay:

Oh, I was so excited!! I spent 2 days at DHS on Lauren's Wish Trip and we didn't get to ride it - so I was pretty pumped to be able to ride it!

We got in line and met these guys. We call them "The Three Amigos!"

SarahDWTrip626.jpg

We had fun hanging out with these guys and enjoying the queue.

SarahDWTrip623.jpg

Then it was time to get IN the elevator! :scared1:

SarahDWTrip628.jpg

And The Three Amigos in the elevator! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

SarahDWTrip630.jpg

Can I be honest? I don’t like dropping :sad2: at all. But this ride was not too bad!

Then we decided we had a little bit of time left and went to see what the line looked like at the Rock-N-Roll Rollercoaster! I like this queue! With the exception of the LOUD door. Do you guys know what I am talking about? With all of the little balls in it? What a horrible racket! But, by the time I got to it, I could not help but play with it, too! :confused3 :sad2:

SarahDWTrip633.jpg

We hopped in the single rider line and did not wait terribly long before we were loaded in the cars.

This was not my favorite ride. I had my hair up in a ponytail, which made it very hard to press my head hard against the head rest. This made for a less than comfortable ride!

So...we have been able to ride EE, Tower of Terror and RNR! WOW! But Sarah and Amy really wanted to catch Test Track AND Soarin'! And EAT! Whew! We need to FLY! So, it was back to the car and off to Epcot!

I actually forgot about those guys! They were great! We had lots of fun in line. I LOVED THE TOWER OF TERROR AND THE ROCKIN ROLLER COASTER!!!! I would so do both of those again. I always make sure I put my head back though. The only thing is if you are bigger the rrc is a little scary to get out of!

How fun! I'm glad you didn't cancel you ADR for Coral Reef...Can't wait to read about it.

And yes how is Sarah and the piglets? Hope she is feeling better:flower3:
