So...where was I?
Oh yeah...the alarm.
I went to bed as soon as we got back to the room and I am sure I was asleep before my head hit the pillow. In fact, I don't even think the lights were really out in the room before the lights were out in my head!
But the next morning I woke up to bright sunshine peeking through the window. Really bright sunshine. I picked up my iPhone, looked at the time and about had a heart attack! It was AFTER 9:00 AM!!!
I jumped out of bed and turned around to see Amy sitting on the edge of the sleeper sofa. Bless her...she was completely ready to go. All packed. And just sitting on the edge of the sofa watching TV.
She just let us sleep.
But I freaked out...SARAH!!! Wake up!!!! We gotta GO!!!
So, we ran around getting ready and headed out of there as soon as we could. We grabbed a quick FREE breakfast at the hotel.
I thought we had a whole 2nd day and had figured we would do Epcot all day and finish the day watching Illuminations.
But Amy and Sarah actually had to leave around 5:00 PM so that Amy could get her kids ready for school.
So we only had hours...
Amy and Sarah started asking some questions about the other parks...where they were...what they were. And they had an idea...They wanted to see them. All of them!
In fact...when I told them about EE, Tower of Terror, RNR...They got seriously excited!! They like the thrill rides!
So...we made a split second complete adjustment and decided to do a little park hopping!
Keep in mind...we still had ADR's at Coral Reef for early afternoon!
Our first stop was Animal Kingdom!!
We were going through security when I noticed a man put his fanny pack under his shirt and tried to sneak through security.
But, in great Disney fashion, an undercover security person just whisked him away. Across the "street" and into a side door. Whoops! Don't mess with Disney security!
All three of us in front of the Tree of Life.
I love this picture of Sarah! Her South Africa shirt in Animal Kingdom seemed so perfect!
We ran straight to EE and hopped in the single rider line! The wait looked to be about 20 minutes or more. But there was some problem in the line loading process. For some reason EE was telling everyone in line that they could not do a child swap. Including a couple with a special needs child in a wheelchair. So, during all of the discussion with the CM, they just let the single rider line fill up a lot of the cars...so the line was very, very fast!
I felt so bad for that couple...they had waited in line for over an hour and only one of them got to ride. If they had known me, I would have totally offered to watch him for them.
So, when it was time for us to load, they had another child swap discussion and all three of us got to load at once. In the same car! Which is awesome pixie dust because they had never been on it before and it was nice to be able to share the ride together!
We opted to leave AK at this point. We had not been there long at all, but we were on a mission...to see both AK and DHS and make it to our ADR in Epcot!
Next up: Disney Hollywood Studios and the Three Amigos!
