Alright, I know I havent updated in quite some time but we are all moved and settled in!! The apartment is wonderful and living together has been great! I havent done too much wedding-wise lately. We're pretty much done, just waiting on the day to come.

Since I changed my dress color, flower color, etc I had to also get a new aisle runner in Ivory rather than white. I would have been annoyed with ivory rose petals and our old white runner...yes I'm THAT type A.. Anyways, we ordered it and I went and had our monogram thing that will be in a gobo on the wall at the reception printed out, traced it on the runner with a pencil then went to town with a paintbrush. When it got intense I ended up using one of my liquid eyeliner brushes.... but hey, it looks okay! bahahaha While its not perfect, if anybody is going to scrutinize the aisle runner that closely at the wedding they are definitely there for the wrong reasons...thats my rationalization for living with the imperfect-ness of it.

Besides that I have decided to wear my hair down or with just a bit of it pulled back/up. Think Jessica Simpson and Carrie Underwood....I just LOVE their hair all the time!!

The escort cards and place cards have been finished and organized just like DFTW asks...I am SO happy to have that task out of the way!!

I think thats it for now. As we get closer Im sure I will think of more to update with. I think I'll start packing this week...only 7 days of work left before I leave!!

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY I WILL BE GETTING MARRIED!!!

So.....I definitely spoke too soon when I was reporting all was calm...


Bobby's grandfather has been in poor health for quite some time. Yesterday morning he was finally out of pain and made his journey Home. We are all very shaken up and obviously sad. Luckily he lived in Daytona Beach, FL so the funeral will be held on Friday (good timing so everyone can make the wedding and the funeral), I'm glad I didn't make plans for that day yet. I feel so terrible and guilty for wanting to celebrate and be happy on the wedding day when we should all be mourning. It will definitely be tough. If anyone has any insight, experience, or ideas on how to psyche ourselves out, please help!

My grandmother has also had her battles with health over the years. She has had bypasses, heart attacks, etc. She was having minor chest pain last week and went to the doctor, they did an Angiogram and were going to put some stints in. The doctor couldn't put the stints in and have scheduled her another bypass for Monday or Tuesday of this week. Obviously she wont be able to make the wedding either, along with my grandfather and possibly one of my aunts. I am so sad and disappointed they wont be able to make it, but of course I would rather her be healthy....the timing just sucks.

Despite all of this, everyone is still excited and ready to celebrate with us. Which is a welcome feeling, I am so confused and torn about how I feel and how I should feel. Anyways, Im just going in with a positive outlook and everything will just have to be great. So we have dropped a few guests, and also a few more of DF's cousins will now be able to make it due to the funeral and other last minute changes. This is good because it will be nice to have his cousins there and for me to meet them! Plus they add to the younger crowd's numbers! lol


My to do list has downsized quite a bit lately, and I am so glad...considering I leave in 3 days!!

Pack Wedding Accessories
Tan
Get all documentation/confirmations together
Write Thank You notes and get tips together
Pack Bridesmaids/Groomsman Gifts
Go to Walmart & Mall to get last minute things for DF and I.


Monday:
Ship BM bouquets--I finally sold them!
Manicure & Pedicure

Keep popping antibiotics and vitamins...I'm starting to get sick

Tuesday:
Drop Lady off at the vet for boarding I think I'll miss her more than she'll miss me.
Pick up Wedding Gown

Wednesday:
Wake up and LEAVE!!

So Im sure Im missing a TON because since the time is so near and all the big stuff is out of the way....the little stuff has certainly made up for it!! But its not too much, and I can definitely get it all done, its just a time thing...and not having enough of it! Is there something Im forgetting?


I'll try to come back and update before I leave with my schedule and what not...I really want to take some time to meet some of the disbrides that will be there when I am, so hopefully we can work something out!! I cant express the relief I feel knowing I can come here and tell you all about the crazy things happening in my life and get unbiased support and love...you all are wonderful and I am so thankful to be a part of this board. Well, the time has finally run out. I honestly didnt think about how I would feel the day it did, and I have to say IM FREAKING EXCITED!!! Its about 4:45 here and I am already up, dressed, making cinnamon rolls for DF (who is driving me to the airport, we're traveling separately ), and my Keurig is brewing me up a treat! I am so ready!

All is packed and everything is done....and if its not, they have stores in Orlando, or it will just not get done. After adding and dropping a few guests we had to re do the seating arrangements so last night I was reprinting, tearing and putting them in ziploc baggies. DF also has a weird ability to estimate the weight of a suitcase within a couple pounds so I was using his arm last night to guess, then adding and taking stuff out of the suitcase...bahahah! I also got him the best gift ever that pretty much makes me the most awesome almost wife ever.....Modern Warfare 3 and a new headpiece..talkie thing...yes I know I gave in and let him win this one...but I figured he's put up with all my crap the past 18 months planning this wedding, its the least I can do. Needless to say, my greatness was confirmed and he loves me even more now. I'm sure I'm going to regret this decision in a few months.

Well ladies and dudes, time to run. I will be on and off the boards while were down there but will definitely give you all a TR when we get back from our honeymoon. We will be down in Disney from 11/9 to 11/14, so if anyone is there PM me and lets get together!!
