Just got the Floral Proposal from Lee and he's sending the contract in the mail. Even though it was more than I wanted to spend, I'm really happy with how everything sounds and I've already figured out how to cut back so that we're within our budget again. So here it is, if you wanted to take a look. My comments are in purple.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
CEREMONY
BRIDE: Hand-tied bouquet of mixed white, ivory, purple and lavender flowersgardenias, ivory cymbidium orchids, ivory roses, lavender roses, purple stock, purple iris, tea roses, dendrobium orchids, Vermeer callas, lavender sweet peas, purple tulips, green hypericum berries, etc.wrap stems in ivory satin ribbon $190 (Ribbon will be white since my dress is white now)
5 ATTENDANTS: Smaller hand-tied bouquets of samewrap stems in pewter ribbon; 5 @ $55 each = $275 (Now this is much more in line with what I would expect a BM bouquet to cost)
1 FLOWER GIRL: Basket of petals to drop, if allowed (or flowers in basket, not to drop?) = $35 (this will be a basket of petals)
GROOM: White mini cymbidium orchid boutonniere accented with wire, greenery and detailed with ivory ribbon and a twisted stem wire (see photo in file) $12 (also will be white ribbon)
4 GROOMSMEN, 1 RING BEARER, 2 FATHERS, 2 GRANDFATHERS: Lavendar dendrobium orchid boutonniere accented with greenery and pewter ribbon detailing; 9 @ $12 each = $108
2 MOTHERS: Small nosegays to carry of lavender, purple and ivory flowers
2 @ $30 each = $60 (I got these so we can use them to decorate the cake table too
)
2 GRANDMOTHERS: Pin-on corsages of lavender dendrobium orchids, ribbon, greenery; 2 @ $25 each = $50 (Not sure that the Grandparents really needed flowers, but my coworkers pointed out that it wouldn't save that much to cut them and it will probably make them happy, so keeping for now.)
2 SMALL ALTAR ARRANGEMENTS: Crystal vases filled with gorgeous purple, lavender, white and ivory mixed flowers
2 @ $100 each = $200 (I asked him to make these smaller, so that the total would be $100)
10 PEW FLORALS: For every other row to end of aislefive per sidesmall cluster of orchids and roses with ribbon and greenery to accent
10 @ $40 each = $400 (taking these out, will be doing greenery and ribbon or just ribbon instead, but I'm sure they would have been so pretty!)
FABRIC SWAGGED DOWN AISLE: Ivory sheer fabric swagged down each side at each flower cluster on chairsrental item = $200 (Will probably just have Disney do this for $150)
I had forgotten to mention a petal toss when I spoke to him, so I'm going to get pricing for that too. If it's too much I'll just do freeze dried petals.
RECEPTION
4-6 COCKTAIL TABLES: Small silver julep cup of white, lavender and purple flowers 6 @ $25 each = $150
9-10 GUEST TABLES: Low centerpieces of mixed flowers in colors of wedding in a footed pedestal bowl (see photo provided by client); 10 @ $100 each = $1,000 (most likely will only need 7-8, and possibly even less)
66 VOTIVE CANDLES : Simple cylinder votivesfive per guest table, six for dais, ten for escort card table; 66 @ $1.50 each = $99 (Disney definitely won't let me have this many candles, but I'm going to see if I can bring my own. I'm going to look for sparkly ones now that it's almost x-mas time)
DAIS TABLE: Three empty vases for brides bouquet and two bridesmaid bouquets to drop into ($10 each)rest of bridesmaid bouquets to be placed elsewhere =$30 (cutting this out, we'll just lay them on their side and have the two alter arrangements on either end of the Sweetheart table)
CAKE: Nothing needed
TOSS BOUQUET: Simple cluster of flowers tied with long ribbon streamers =$35 (may cut this and do silk so I could use it for the rehearsal too)
ESCORT CARD TABLE: Ten votives (priced above)
MEMORIAL VASE: Arrangement of all white and lavender roses in vase =$60 (we'll either do this smaller, or just do a single rose for each person in greenery)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
So all in all, I was very happy. I feel like I'm getting a good value out of what I'm spending. I also like that I don't have to wait until only a few months before the wedding to know how much everything is going to cost. I'm hoping we can meet with him when we go down in March, although we won't have a car so that may not be possible, but I know he's done mock-ups for some brides, so worst case, we can just do that.
