Sara & Ryan's Wishes PJ & TR ~ 8/17/10 WP/GF/Marina ~ 1/22 Thank you!

Lovely sneak peak and great song choice!! felt my heart do a little flip when I heard the start as I just love that film.

Congratulations again. Am at work so will look at the pics and video later at home. Can't wait to see them!

Reading this makes me want to get married again!! Maybe if I win the lottery.....:)

Thanks for posting everything. It is really good reading it and I'm sure when the TR is done, it will seem as if we were all there too!!

Glad that everything was how you wanted it and that there was only a few things you would have changed. It would be awful if all you had thought was I wish we'd done that, etc.

Can't wait for the next part :cool1:

Thanks Lisa! Well you could always have a VR...lol, I'm hoping to win the lotto too ;). I'm glad you enjoyed it, I definitely have to get moving on that TR, we just got two kittens and it's been crazy around here. The wedding day was definitely wonderful and even those things that I would have changed were just little, eh would have been nice if... type of thing. :)

Awesome video! That teaser is great, I bet you cant wait to get the whole thing!!! Can't wait to read more. :)

Thanks so much! I'm so excited to see the rest of it, but I'm really mostly excited to see the things I missed that day.

The pics are amazing! I love all the decor so much..and your bouquet is gorgeous! I loved the way your hair was too...I really wish I would have had my hair down instead of up! Oh well.

I'm looking forward to the TR:goodvibes

Thanks Karen! I loved how it all came together and Lee did such an amazing job on the flowers, I really loved my bouquet and wish now that I had it preserved but I do have pictures. My family supposedly took it home but I haven't seen it since we got back. I'm thinking it got thrown away but I'm secretly hoping they dried it out and are going to surprise me with it, unlikely but a girl can dream. Thanks! It was definitely hotter with my hair down and by the end of the night it was a little knotty but I never really do updos so I didn't think it would be me. I really loved the way your hair was, I just didn't think I could really pull it off.

Love the pics, Roots did an amazing job and you guys looked great! The video is super cute and I'm loving the Moulin Rouge soundtrack:thumbsup2

Thanks so much! I love their work the album looks amazing too but I am having a tough time narrowing down which pages I want. That was such a fun surprise that Kat used that song and I really like what she did. :)

Wow your pictures are beautiful loved the colors you choose and the Video had me tearing up. ~s~

Thank you! :goodvibes I lot of my family had doubts about the colors until they saw it all together. I loved the way it turned out and how it looks in the pictures.

loving the video clip. I think the full version will be awesome if that is anything to go by! :thumbsup2

Thanks Jen! I hope so, we can't wait to get it!

You ceremony decor was beautiful! you looked amazing, and I agree, every bride looks beautiful on their day!

Thanks so much! I think it's probably the happiness that makes everyone look so good, that and the make-up and photography ;)

Your pics are simply perfection :)

Thanks! We are so happy with them. I can't wait to get the disc to share more with you all.

Finally had time to look at your pictures and video clip - A M A Z I N G!!

You look so happy, it made me want to cry!

The day looks like it was brilliant - so so happy for you. :)

Aww, thanks so much Lisa. I love the Roots and so glad that we had them there to capture our day. It really was a beautiful day. :goodvibes

Lovely sneak peak and great song choice!! felt my heart do a little flip when I heard the start as I just love that film.

Thank you! Kat actually picked that herself, we gave her our wedding favor cd to use for the video. It's funny because that is one of DH's favorites and I thought for sure he put her up to it. But I love that movie too, I have to watch it whenever I see it's on. I love how she did the beginning of the video clip, it really reminded me of the movie. ;)

I can't believe we'll already have been married a month tomorrow! We just picked up our wedding presents to each other last weekend. They are two adorable kittens that have been keeping us so busy, but they are great and Max is getting along great with them too.

We're also on the Roots' Blog! :goodvibes

Now, onto the TR finally. So the week before the wedding was completely crazy with trying to finish up all the DIY projects, basically every night I had some task assigned from assembling programs to escort cards. While I didn't pack any of our clothes or anything, I did have a Disney box set aside for my parents to bring when they drove down. It really was a stressful and exhausting week and I wish I had finished all those things earlier. On Friday I get a call from my mom saying that their car had broken down and that they would either fly or drive my sister's car do Disney. My sister had a CR-V and there were five of them with luggage, so I knew they couldn't take any of the wedding stuff. Luckily DH's sister said they could take some in a carry on and we'd also bring a carryon. She stopped over late Friday night and I threw a bunch of stuff in her bag. As I'm packing my clothes and stuff DH looks over to the carryon my dress is in and says "that's not a carryon size." I told him of course it was and didn't think much more about it that night. We finally finished packing at around 1 am, and my uncle was coming to pick us up at 4:45 am to bring us to the airport :scared1:

It was Saturday and we were going to Disney! It was so very early but we managed to wake up and were all ready when my Uncle showed up. On the drive he was asking me if I was really sure it was LGA, and I said yes but double checked the email I printed and realized that I had the time wrong and we'd be earlier than we thought but that was fine. We got to the airport and had our traditional breakfast of awful airport bagels. As we're going through security I look around and notice that everyone else's carryon's were smaller than mine and started to get nervous. As we're boarding the plane the Flight attendant at the gate says, "would you like to check that bag for free", I said "no, it's my wedding gown" and he let me right by, so there was no need to worry after all. We slept the whole way, and before we knew it we were in Orlando!

Since we only had two magical express tags and had to check three bags we thought it was probably better to pick up that bag at luggage claim and our bags were the first to come out. It was already starting to be a pretty good day. After some trouble finding the Magical Express, we were on the wrong side of airport , we got on the bus and were on our way to the GF!

We were the only people getting off there and the Club Level CM was already waiting for us. He took us inside and to the elevator. I has requested a turret room and was really hoping we'd get it, and we did! :cool1: We were on the 4th floor which was great since that was where all the food offerings were. ;)

The room was incredible! It was huge and gorgeous! Here are some pics:

and the view...

The CM checked us in and I asked if we could stay in this room the whole time, he asked if I was sure we didn't want to be moved to the "honeymoon" rooms for our complimentary night. Lol, we were like, oh we're sure ;). We were going to stay in that room as long as they'd let us!

We had plans to met a few people for lunch at LTT but we still had time to have some snacks at the lounge. DH said he never wanted to stay anywhere but Club level again .

Now I know that Club level is not for everyone, but we loved it. IPO was a huge help in making all of our ADR's. We were able to book an illuminations cruise, which I was never able to do before and get every reservation we wanted. The room was great and it was just so nice staying in the Main building. We could hear the orchestra in the evenings from our room. We enjoyed the food offerings, it seemed like every time we'd walk by there was something so we'd have a bite or two. It was nice to just have something to snack on and be able to get a soda whenever you wanted. DH loved the "free" beer in the evenings. The room was also huge and we had plenty of room for me and the girls to get ready on the wedding day and it looked great in pictures. ;)

So after resting a bit we were off to MK!

Woohoo! So happy your started your TR.

I loved club level at the Yacht club, DH worked a conference there some years back and I got to stay there with him for 9 whole days, they took amazing care of us, or me mainly since he worked since 6 am until 7 pm every day for the first 5 days :lmao:

But after that it was sooo relaxing! That's why we decided to do club level at AKL for our wedding, the staff has already arranged my lady's tea at the Garden View Room without any problems, one less thing to worry about. I am sure they will come more handy when I have a bunch more ADR's to shift around and no time to do it myself.

Your room looks fantastic and I saw the pics at the Roots blog, just beautiful!
Can't wait to read more. :thumbsup2

Yay you started! So glad you enjoyed club level-it is fabulous. DH said the same thing as your DH, he only wants to stay club level when we go again also (men and food and booze:rotfl:). I checked out the Roots blog and your pictures looked beautiful! Loved your dress, it fit you beautifully. I am looking forwarding to reading more!

Sara, we are thinking of having our wedding on a Tuesday also. Would you do it again? What kinds of pre-wedding activities did you plan for everyone?

Oh i'm so glad you started!!! That room is amazing. I can't wait to hear/see more!

Me too! I have all my pro pics now too, so there's no stopping me now, lol. The room was so incredible, pictures don't do it justice at all. It was so big, bright and airy. When my MOH came over she said the bathroom area was slightly smaller than her room at Pop, but not by much. It was really nice.

We've always wanted to stay at YC, I told DH for our next trip we'd stay in the BW area. He is addicted to CL now. ;) CPI was such a great help to us too and I did have a few last minute changes and things I wanted to add and it was never a problem, so you're definitely in good hands.

The room was so amazing :lovestruc, and I loved that we had a view of the WP, it made it even more special. Thank you! We were so happy with our pics, now just to pick the album and decide which ones I want to get prints of.

We really loved it! Lol, I think it was definitely the booze. DH was like, woa, we get free beer? :rotfl: I was like, well you're paying pretty dearly for it but yes. ;) And he liked feeling special with the special elevator and gold key. Thanks so much! I loved my dress, Maggie gowns are the best. ;)

Sara, we are thinking of having our wedding on a Tuesday also. Would you do it again? What kinds of pre-wedding activities did you plan for everyone?

Hi, thanks for reading! We had originally planned to do it on a Monday, but that was DH's brother & SIL's anniversary, so we did the day after. It worked out great, I liked having a few days before the wedding to be in Disney and then a few days after too. We did have some people that could only come for the day, but overall it worked out fine and I would definitely do it again. We actually didn't do much in the way of pre-wedding activities since we just didn't have the budget for it and people were arriving on all different days. But we still wanted to see people so we made plans to go the parks each day and made some group reservations so that people could hang out with us if they wanted. It worked out great.

I am also glad you started the Trip Report and love the pics - can't wait for more!!!

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

We got on the monorail and texted everyone to grab a FP for Splash Mountain and to meet us at Liberty Tree Tavern. Magic Kingdom is our favorite park and it's not quite "Disney" to me until we go there, so we usually go on the day we arrive. It was sooo hot so I knew the first thing I wanted to get! Best $17 ever.
IMG_1336.jpg

We met up with DH's sister and BIL and my friend Rachel and her boyfriend Thom and went on the Haunted Mansion. By the time we were done DMIL and DH's Grandma had arrived so we had lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern.

So we're all ordering and DH's Grandma orders a Buzz Lightyear drink, which I thought was a little weird, but whatever. The CM is like, "okay so you want the fruit punch?"...and DH's Grandma is like, "no, isn't that a beer?" She thought it was a Bud Light. So the CM says, "Actually there is no alcohol served in MK". DH's Grandma: "What?! NO beer at a Tavern?! Well I was really looking forward to a beer!" :rotfl2: She is so funny because she is definitely the type of lady that speaks her mind.

She eventually decided on a Coke and the rest of the meal was uneventful. Everyone enjoyed what they got and afterwards DMIL and Grandma went back to the hotel and we rode Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road before heading back ourselves. It was so fun to be in Disney with our friends and family!

I had stopped at Basin White on the way back to the room and got a bunch of bath bombs. Our room had a huge tub, and I couldn't wait to take a nice bath. We unpacked and I took a bath. Then we had some of the Club offerings which was pretty crazy since we were going to dinner soon. I love that they have a cheese assortment each night. That's what I usually get as an appetizer so it was great to be able to have it each night. I tried to find some of the cheeses at home but I can't remember all the names.

Dinner was at Citricos that night. We had 11 people and they begin to lead us into the restaurant and straight to the private room. I think it's called The Chef's Domain. It is absolutely gorgeous! And they would close the doors and it was completely private. Everyone thought I had specially arranged for this room but it was all just pixie dust ;).

The food was awesome as usual. Everyone loved their meals and had a great time and we were there pretty late just talking. It was also great to just be able to just take the elevator back up to our room afterwards.

Next up: Day 2: DHS

I'm so happy you started your TR. The room at the GF is gorgeous...it is my ultimate dream to do club level in the main building of the GF.

That is so funny with your grandma and the bud light. It is understandable though, my friends and family just assumed that MK would serve alcohol since everywhere else does...and she is right, it was a tavern :lmao:

Your wedding was so beautiful! Everything looked amazing and you made a gorgeous bride. I have been zipping around your journal and I just love everything about your wedding, but still have a lot of reading to do. One thing I wanted to ask is if you were happy with using an outdoor vendor for your chairs, and could you let me know if they have a wedsite. My daughter wants to use the same chairs as you had, but Disney prices are insane,($15.00@chair) I'm not sure if she will be able to it. You had so many great craft ideas and I am hoping to try some. Congrats on your wedding.:thumbsup2

Hi and congratulations! Ive been reading your PJ on and off since 10:30am this morning (yes I am addicted) and Im so glad you've started you TR now too! :) Your photos were amazing and the video looked fab too!! I cant wait to hear more about your trip and wedding!! :goodvibes

It really was amazing, you definitely have to do it one day. It certainly helped that we had the one free night and a 40% off bounceback rate ;). There is just something so magical about being in the main building, it definitely spoils you.

Lol, it was so funny and she was very put out about it. She really was looking forward to a beer with her lunch! I was like, they just call it that...it's not really a tavern...:lmao: She really is very funny.

Thank you so much, that's so sweet of you to say! :goodvibes Lol, yes there is a lot of reading, hopefully the index will help a little, most of the detail stuff is on there ;), but there is still a lot.

Oh, I know how she feels! The chairs were so important to me because I notice details like that. And Disney prices are insane! We were really happy with the chairs, they looked gorgeous in the room and everything was set up correctly. They deal mainly with Disney after you book them, so that made things even easier. Ann was super sweet and they were about 1/2 the price of Disney and the set-up fee was also much less. I would definitely recommend them. Their website is www.chairaffairrentals.com.

Thanks! Well if you have any questions on any of the crafts just let me know. All of my guests really noticed those things and appreciated it, which made it worth it. Just make sure you don't wait until the last minute to finish the projects!

Thanks for reading! Lol, I've been addicted to many PJ's and TR's in the past too, so it's an honor to have someone addicted to mine now :). Thank you so much, we were so happy with everything. Now I just have to figure out the album and which pictures to enlarge but it's so hard to decide.... but that's a good problem to have. :goodvibes

Thanks for the website, I will check it out. My DD had her PS/MT in August so we just missed being there on on your wedding day. We could have stalked, haha j/k, but your wedding was a lot like my DD's plans so far, it would have been fun to sneak a peek. I love the WP, I filled up as soon as I walked in. Thanks again for quick response.

Great update!!
I am glad you enjoyed Citricos as this where our reception will be!!!
Can't wait for the next installment!!

We love Citricos, it is one of our favorite restaurants. I'm sure your reception will be awesome, they really know how to take care of you there. ;)

You're welcome! It definitely saved us a lot of money on the chairs. Aww, that's too bad, but don't worry there will be plenty of pics ;) and if there is something you'd like to see a picture of, I can see if we have any. I know when I was planning there were not many pictures around of events in the GF rooms aside from Whitehall so I'd be happy to help if I can.

yay you've started your TR! popcorn::

First, your wedding pictures look amazing so far!! The Roots did a wonderful job as always! The floral in the WP was perfect - I loved how all the pieces turned out!!

I feel the same way about MK - we always start there too. It sounds like you guys had a great first day there. That's so amazing you got the private room at Citricos!! I'm sure that was a really nice surprise for you and your family

Thanks Wendy! We really love the Roots, they are so sweet and we love the pictures. OMG, Lee is so awesome, I still can't get over the flowers and am secretly hoping my bouquet will turn up... my sister took it to "save" it, but since we got back I haven't seen it, so I'm thinking it probably ended up in the garbage, but I'm still holding out hope...

Lol, isn't it funny how we all have our little routines. We always have to go there, if only for a few hours. We really had a great time.

That room was soooo nice! I was shocked they gave it to us, everyone thought I had specially booked it.
