Santa is turning legal & chasing down the Headless Horseman! September 2017 (1st) PTR!

I have seen it myself...but we are talking years ago. This was one of the first restaurants we did when my aunt took me on my first trip. Come to think of it, I think this was the VERY first thing we did. Just can't remember for sure those couple of years ago (haha I wish) I can't wait for my family to see it. When we went for Christmas 2014, it was just to quick of a trip and we chose to do the sleigh ride in the camp ground rather than a dinner show. I am glad we did because it will be something I never forget that got me this pretty little beauty...

Ok, THAT is a pretty cool pin. Nice!

I know... I know...I just don't want to listen.

LISTEN UP, SISTER! ;)

Agent P's World showcase adventure? Yup, did it on our summer 2012 trip when we took our friend and her 2 kids (we love taking people that will never be able to go themselves and they fit the bill quite well!) I think they have changed it now though so that it is on your own phone where before you used to have to get a "phone" at a kiosk... but not 100% sure on this. Kids LOVED it and is something we will do again and was in the plans on this trip.

Oh, good to know info! Thanks! This will be nice to do as we work our way around the Showcase for our F&W picks; I'll have to make sure my battery is charged on the phone.

I, but not the rest of the family have seen them from the Observation Deck in the Contemporary. Again, thanks to my wonderful aunt! We didn't eat at the restaurant there, we just went to the observation deck to watch. I don't know that it is still open to non eating guests, but it used to be. I have looked at Cali Grill menu, but I am not sure it is quite to my family's taste. DH and DS are not the "get dressed up" kinda peeps and in fact would probably say no!

Ahhh, such a shame. :( I don't know either if you can watch from up there anymore? I do know they check your ADR at the bottom, or at least they did during my 2010 trip.

So Sadly, even though this tail is just beginning....I have just found out that December 15th I will be getting laid off from my job. They are closing the doors permanently. With that being said, planning a trip, even if it is next year, is not something I can even dream about until I have a new job that is any where close to what I already had. In our area that is going to be almost impossible. Thank you to the few that have popped in and said hello.

Oh no, Jenn! That's just awful news! And right before Christmas too. I am confident you will find something, and will pray to that end. Don't give up on dreaming and have faith. I do hope that you don't disappear altogether; your company is always fun to have. :)

Oh no I am so sorry about your JOB!! I hope you find something and fast!
I do hope you keep us posted on how you are doing!!! I worry about you!
Yes i am very sorry to hear you have to cancel yet i totally understand and have been there. it's AWFUL.. But in the mean time you can always dream of your next vacation and how your next job you will make more so your next trip will be BIGGER and BETTER!

Thank you so much for your concern! Yes, it is awful and I think I am still in shock a bit. It is not quite as bad for me as alot of the other people I worked with. We had a ton of single mom's working in our center. Finding the pay and benefits even remotely close to what we had will be VERY rough. For me, at least I have DH to fall back on, but for those peeps, they are in a world of struggle. I think the thing that REALLY ticks me off about the whole thing is just 4 months ago we hired 65 new people at our center. These peeps were told that their jobs were stable and that we weren't going any where. About 60% of these people went out and bought new homes/cars because they were told we weren't going any where. All the struggles with my health and all these treatments I have been submitting myself to have all been to get back to my job. Now I am wondering if it is all worth it. I will get a severance package of $12,300 ($1,100 for each year I have worked there +$1,300) which is more than most companies give when they are laying off peeps, but DH's medical through his employer is so crappy and I am now weighing if it isn't time for me to start looking at disability.

I won't be going any where. I have to dream in some way, and the Dis will be my only Disney for some time I am afraid.

I am not sure that fast is going to happen. As a displaced worker, I can qualify for 1 year of tuition paid in full if I go back to school. I will also get unemployment for 1 year instead of 6 months. I am seriously considering going back to school for Medical Coding, but just don't know that my hands would be able to handle it. With this I would be right back into typing on a computer all day again. This is what is causing my hands to flare right now from the RA. I am thinking though with this, I won't have the "customer service" aspect of it, so taking pain meds while at work wouldn't be as much as an issue. Just don't know yet. Only thing I know for sure is that I won't be doing anything until after the new year. Since I am out on medical and my doctors didn't have me returning until after Jan 1st, I won't be returning before the Dec 15th close date. Then I will have my severance package to get by for a bit. My DH is getting all depressed

I do hope you keep us posted on how you are doing!!! I worry about you!

Aww thanks so much for your concern! I will be ok. I have been putting myself through hell and back to try to keep my job and asking myself if it is truly worth it so at least now I won't have to do things to "keep my job" I will just have to do things to feel better in general.

I do dream. I think those that are Disney obsessed don't know how to not dream about Disney. LOL

To be in a situation like that is really awful! I feel so badly for those that are now in a real pickle. Hopefully, the package will tide you over until something even better comes along. It might be worth it to pay to have your resume professionally looked at. Put yourself out there and really highlight those strengths- you'll find something I just know it! I'd save disability as a last resort. That will always be on your record and employers love a clean one. I'm not saying it's not an option, but I think you WILL find something long before you will need to go that direction.

Oh No! I am so sorry this is so hard on your whole family. Just know you are in my prayers and i am always here if you need me! Take care of you first!
