they are both of the same standard and very similiar with their facilities.

The Santa Fe has recently been renovated to have a full 'Cars' theme - and the rooms look fab as a result.

The Cheyenne is cowboy themed and is very popular with children, but it is in need of a refurb as the rooms are looking quite tired now.

I am also looking at an October trip and have already decided we will give the Santa Fe another go, as I'm really impressed with the way the refurb has turned out! :cheer2:

happypanda said it all really.

stayed in santa fe in 2009 and then the cheyenne last june. nothing in it between the two. my next trip next sept will be with the cheapest of the two. there really isnt that much difference between them. and its a lovely walk to the parks from the both of them (if the weather is good!)

I've stayed in Cheyenne and absolutely loved it, for me the Santa Fe doesnt appeal to me as much i dont like the look of the outside i'd choose Cheyenne over Santa Fe any day x

I've always had a soft spot for the Santa Fe - we usually go as mum and daughter only, and we had a refurbed Cars room at the Santa Fe last month. Loved it, and everything about the hotel actually. We even had breakfast twice in the hotel restaurant, and dinner there too, and can't fault a thing :).

comfier beds in the santa fe as well i noticed. externally it isnt fantastic (although i went before the refurb so it might be much better now outside)?? , internally roomwise i think there is hardly any difference in size or quality if fixtures.

and the food in the restaurant was better in the santa fe i thought, but i do seem to be alone with this thought :guilty:

I agree with this! I don't rate the chuckwagon at all, but really enjoyed my meal at the Santa Fe - it was a lot more organised than the Cheyenne and a LOT less busy, too! :thumbsup2

But then, you can always eat at any of the hotels regardless of where you stay - so don't let that determine your decision! :goodvibes

we have stayed previously at the santa fe twice, we are going to the resort in September and we are going to try out the Cheyenne. The Santa fe is a basic hotel, but it is nice, clean and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant was good too, although we only ate here once other than breakfast. We are looking forward to trying somewhere new.
Either way it's somewhere to sleep and eat breakfast and that is all we require when we visit Disneyland Paris!:thumbsup2

Cheyenne much nicer to look at from the outside but the Santa Fe has lovely newly refurbed rooms and got to be honest last time I stayed at Cheyenne, 2010, I thought it all looked a bit tired and it';s one of my favourite hotels.

There's nothing to choose between the 2 regards facilities, location, shuttle buses, etc.

Cheyenne has a launderette if you need one !

I had a bit of an issue with breakfast and ridiculously long queues at Santa Fe, but I think we were just unlucky, other than that I really enjoyed our stay there last year.

Most likely sleeping arrangement in the room will be 2 double beds at Santa Fe or a double and bunks at Cheyenne.

Haven't eaten at the restaurants so can't comment on those.

The only other thing I've noticed being mentioned more and more is the amount of school groups that use Cheyenne and their behaviour, certainly when we were there last January there were loads of teenage groups, a colleagues daughter was one of them and I was kind of glad we'd chosen Santa Fe.

All things considered I think I'd probably opt for Santa Fe for your trip. :goodvibes

Have stayed in both although the Cheyenne was a while back. The Santa fe has lovely cars themed rooms but I hate the bar area. Having said that i would stay there again but not use the bar
