Sanibel Island

Is it crazy to do this for a day trip while staying in Orlando? According to Google it is like a 3.5 hour drive. Has anyone done that before? Worth it?

Personally yes. Waaaay to far for a day trip. If you want a nice beach what about siesta key in Sarasota? That’s only 2 hours.

Siesta key is great. Two hours, beautiful beach and an easy drive I 4 to 75.

I agree. There are a lot of places to explore in that general area, so for us it would at least require one night, and probably two. Perhaps add it to the start or end of a Disney trip instead of in the middle.

There are plenty of beaches on both the east and west coast that are fun with a much shorter drive.
