Looking for your BEST Sangria Recipe! Would like to make for an upcomming communion party - I am partial to the white wine recipes. Share your best recipe Please!!
My go to for Sangria is a huge jug (I think the size is a liter) of Real or Yago brand Sangria and a big 1.5L bottle of yellowtail moscato. I chill both overnight then mix both in a punch bowl, add the juice of a lemon, lime, and orange (my last used honeybells that were so juicy and sweet). Dice a red and green apple (seeded of course but not peeled), slice an orange into rounds , slice a lemon into rounds, and halved a bunch of grapes. I let it sit in the fridge for a few hours so the flavors meld and let people ladle it over ice. So delish!
It was gone within 2 hours from my baby shower. I didn't have any but everyone loved it and kept going back for more.
In a BIG pitcher or a punchbowl, combine 2 bottles rose' wine, 1/2 c. Spanish brandy, 1/4 c. orange liqueur or Triple Sec, 1/2 c. orange juice and 1/2 c. superfine sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add 1/2 c. sliced strawberries, half an orange and lemon sliced thin, and a pitted plum and peach, cut into small wedges. Cover and chill well. Before serving add a 10 ox. bottle of chilled club soda.
Delicious!
The recipe on here I've used for a few parties and BBQs and it comes out delicious. I always make it the night before so everything has time to set. I've also been known to add some flavored vodka for a little extra kick, but would probably not recommend doing that for a communion party.
