Sanford-Orlando

Has anyone ever flown in here?? We have always flown into MCO. We have missed all the good deals on air fare so it looks like we are going with Trans Meridian for the flight down and then United-TED for the flight back. We are also getting a rental car from Alamo if anyone has any advice or tips.

We loved that airport! Very small, not crowded, a very easy layout and the people were extremely helpful! I would fly in there every trip if we could. The airline we used for that trip is no longer flying into there. You'll love it!
The rental counter is to the right of the baggage claim and the cars are right outside the terminal.

Ditto! Sanford is so easy to get through, and the drive to WDW on 417 is MUCH more peaceful than I-4. The worst part about our upcoming trip is that lower airfares have forced us to fly into MCO - I will miss Sanford's size and convenience greatly!

Alamo's office is very easy to find: at the bottom of the escalator go directly out the doors - the office is across the drive to the right. When I rented a car there last June, there was one other person in line and I was out of there in about 5 minutes.

You can also take 417 (Central Florida Greenway) from MCO. I agree it is always a better alternative to I-4.

Thanks for all the info. I had seen the website, that is how I found the carrier. We are flying in on Trans Meridian and out of MCO. I wish we could fly in and out at Sanford, but there were no returning flights!! Thanks again!!

Great!! We just bought our tix to SFB through Trans Meridien, and flying home on Independence. So exciting!! Alamo's website is down so I will have to wait to do my reservation!! Thanks again everyone!!
