sanford airport

Where is this airport and how far from WDW? I see Portsmith NH has a flight to this airport and i might consider it next summer.

It is northeast of MCO. It takes about 45 minutes on I-4 to get to the World. We have flown into Sanford twice, it is an easy in and out with all the national car rental companies on site. Size wise, it is similiar to Bangor (BGR), in case you are familiar with BGR based upon your location.

We've also flown into Sanford on PanAM. It was a nice little airport. It took us about 50 minutes to get to our resort from there. I would do it again but maybe rent a car. A towncar cost us close to $200.

We flew into Sanford in August and will be flying into it again in October. It takes about 50 minutes to get from the airport to Disney property. It is a nice, easy to maneuver little airport. You don't have to get there as early on your return flight as you do MCO. We use FL Tours limo service in Aug. They were fantastic but it was $200 before tip. Next month DH got a great rate at Dollar and for our entire trip we can rent a car for $80. Can't beat that!
