Sanford airport to Disney shuttle or towncar

If depends on what you're searching for.

I agree that using Google is better when doing a search for something that's not time sensitive and/or that involves complex search arguments. Google will try to present the most relevant results, even if those results are from 2005.

However, the DISboards Search function can be very good for finding recent posts that include a unique keyword, such as Sanford. Before I suggested Search to the OP, I tried Sanford myself. A bunch of recent, useful results came up in the DISboards Transportation Forum.

If you put the current year in the google search, it will give you threads that have been posted to in this year first.

:) We ONLY use Tiffany Towncar service. When I inquired about Sanford, I was given the same $240 price I believe. DH and I love to ride with Waseem and Renata, two of their nicest drivers. We always have a pleasant trip. I booked our May trip a few days ago and was not able to use the website to make a reservation...so I emailed them at their contact. It took a day for me to hear back and they sent me a reservation confirmation. Very easy. The grocery stop is usually at Publix, for a late evening arrival Waseem took us by a Hess station which was the best choice. Publix and Goodings were closed or closing.

Ok so I will plan on not paying less than $200 however I am most interested in knowing what towncar or shuttle services are reputable. The one person said Tiffany Towncar, anyone have any other suggestions?
I have used Florida Town Car and had great service.

The drive from Sanford airport to Disney is not difficult if you take HWY 417, especially at that time of day. It is a low stress 2 lane (each way) highway. Sanford area is not difficult. I think there was 3 turns to get to 417. Red Cleveland BLVD (exits the terminal) to East Lake Mary BLVD to Ronald Reagan BLVD to 417. Once you are on 417 (mile marker 46) it is smooth sailing, except for a few toll booths, to mile marker 6 for Epcot center drive or mile marker 2(?) I think for World Center drive. I really don't like Interstate 4 (4 lane each way) but I'm not a very brave driver. Check in, bring the car to the car care center and you have maybe a 2 hour rental.
Have you done this, returning the car after a two hour rental? How much did it cost? Are they open close to midnight? We are looking at this same question for February flights.

i have not done this. We usually for for 10 day visits and stay offsite. However I did just put in a 2 hour rental from SFB to Disney car care center for 2 hours 9:30-11:30 with the KLM code and it was $47.00 for the 2 hours. You could check for prices returning it in the am.

You'll probably find that it's the same price for up to 24 hours. You might want to consider specifying a later return.

While you have the car, you could dine off-site or at another Disney resort that's hard to get to by bus. You could stop by a grocery store to buy beverages and snacks for your room.

These are all great ideas....thanks!

What is KLM? Thanks!

KLM is Royal Dutch Airways. You sign up for their Flying Blue membership (free). They used to have a deal with National Car company (at this time they no longer appear to). The old code still works (8572130). I also have a National emerald club membership (free). After I log in I replace the emerald club code with the KLM code, this covers the insurance. I do also have coverage with my regular car insurance company for rentals.

We use Orlando Chauffeured Services when we fly in on Allegiant to Sanford. They are always on time, courteous, and have nice clean cars.
