Sanford airport---On the verge of defaulting on a $1.5 million state loan

SANFORD -- On the verge of defaulting on a $1.5 million state loan, Orlando Sanford International Airport is asking the state Legislature to extend the due date until 2008.

Airport officials concede if the legislation doesn't pass, they don't have the money to repay the loan due in August.
