Just thought I would post this since I was looking for specific info on the Sandcastle Club before I left and couldn't really find it.
We used the club for about 2 1/2 hours on 8/14. My son turned 5 years old that week. He's a little nervous about new places initially and I wasn't sure he'd want to stay and I wasn't going to make him if he didn't want to. They were happy to let me bring him down the day before as well to let him see the room and be comfortable with it.
The club is mostly just a large playroom. When you walk in, there's a desk right at the front where someone greets you. They have you sign a waiver and provide contact information and give you a beeper as well. They also give you their phone number so you can call and check in if you'd like. I called to check in twice and they were very friendly about it and didn't act like I was nuts at all.
They also have you choose the child's dinner from a menu of options and choose the time for them to eat. My son chose pizza, but hot dogs, chicken strips, hamburgers, and grilled cheese were also on the menu. Dinner could be served at 6, 7, or 8.
After the paperwork, I walked back with him to get him settled in. There are separate restrooms for girls and boys, a TV watching room/area (TV was just tuned to Radio Disney at the time), arcade games, video games (Playstations), a craft/art table, a game table, and many bins of different toys. My son - surprisingly - quickly got involved in a game with another child and a cast member, and I took off.
When I came to pick him up, he was involved in a bead craft with a cast member. He'd made a necklace and a keychain and seemed to be having an awesome time. He said the dinner was good and everyone was very nice - he even told me he wanted to go back the next night!
