sandbagging remixed?

If I score anything less than around 350 that first round, I almost always quit. I feel like I'm either having computer issues, game issues, or I'm just "off" that game. Usually when that happens, it's because I'm having issues with clicking the fireworks and getting "awesome" even though they should have registered as flawless. Other times, it's because of computer issues. Sometimes I just am tired or not really paying attention, and I do badly right away (leading me to believe I may continue to do badly). I've been winning going into the Park View levels, and my whole internet will crash and I won't get any credit at all. I'm not always shooting for my high score (got it tonight though-- finally broke 7,000! :yay: I got 7,090, to be exact), but usually if I know I won't be getting at least 6,000, I quit and start again. Never have done that by my own choice though once I'm in the Tomorrowland levels.

I suppose I just don't see the difference between quitting this game and quitting the old game. If I didn't have at least 12,500 by the end of that very first level, 99/100 I quit. Nothing new for me. And it still is killing my eyes and head, btw. :sad2:

I need to break 5,000 and I can't!!! Okay I probably can eventually but I don't play until night when I am tired. If I end up with any awesome's or more than one missed firework that first round I quit sometimes. Other times I wait until the first three parts of level one and if my score isn't good enough I'm out too. Sometimes I will let it go over to the next level and come over here so I get kicked out. That way I get the credits for the work I did do.

I quit all the time. At this point I'm just trying to get a gold pin (I've only come in first place once, btw). And if I play the first round and either totally blow it or find that I am playing against some extremely good players I don't have a chance against, why waste my time going through an entire game I know for a fact I'm not going to even PLACE in, much less win? Personally I'm not interested in credits at this time so that's not an issue for me. I don't think it should bother other people if I quit. If anything it gives each person behind me a boost up to the next place.

I am also guilty of quitting early. I already have the green car (second time since the new version of fireworks ~ a two star green car now) and I have gotten a few gold pins. The credits are not so rewarding now with the change so my goal is usally for the gold pin.

That said, if I see I am up against really awesome players like ArwenQueen, Stichers, GoofyGeggy, etc. I normally bail out right off the bat. I have no hope at all against these great players.

If I am in a game where I can hold my own, if I mess up in the first round and my score is 320 or less, I will drop out. If by the end of round one, my score is less than 1000, I will also drop out.

I don't mind at all when othe players drop out, it gives me a chance to possibly win. I actually was in a game with ArwenQueen and she dropped out during the very first round. I was able to go on and win the game.

If this is a form of sandbagging, I guess I am guilty.

Well I can honestly say that I don't care if anyone quits. I've won a few games because the better players vanished before the final round. :thumbsup2

I think others have said they like the competition. If someone just above them in score quits then I guess the challenge is gone or something like that.

I look at it like this, I like to get 1000 points in the first round but If don't, there's still 90-something credits sitting there. For me, it's usually around 200 credits by the end of the second round. I've used my VMK time to play that far I'm not throwing those credits away to start over. Gold pins will be like Fireworks magic. The best players are going to keep on getting them and there will be more and more of them in the game. I'll get the 10 wins eventually, there's no need to throw away credits in the meantime.

I do understand that the gold pins trade very well now so there is a bit of a VMK gold rush going on. More power to ya!
