I have a pair of sandals that are like a flip flop with a leather strap which buckles around the ankle. Would I be allowed to wear these on Manta and Kraken?

Yes, if they are strapped on, or you can take them off and put them to the side before you take your seat.

I loved the way it felt riding on Manta with no shoes. I had worn flipflops to the park and the ride attendant made me take them off and place them just on the other side of the exit.

Great, thank you. I thought about flip flops. In Universal on DC they made people sit on them. I didn't want to do that. If I can leave them to the side that would be great. How about sun glasses? Do you have to take them off?

I think you would need to take sunglasses off. They were pretty thorough about nothing being loose. They didn't even want you to have change or a phone in your pocket. There is a place to leave glasses next to the ride.
