Happy New Year!

DH thought we should try WDW one year between Christmas and New Years. I agree with you Shelly, if we can during that time it will be a resort vacation.

Does anyone have experience with Thanksgiving crowds? That is what we opted to try first in 2014.

I can't believe you are thinking of taking out suitcases already. I need to get organized for our January trip!!!

Great afternoon read.

I stayed at The Yacht club with my sisters and we were suppose to have a room with the sofa bed and it never happened. My two sisters ended up sharing all week. our room faced the quiet pool and my sisters loved sitting out there they hated The main pool.

Yeah, I don't know why getting a roll-away was so confusing to everyone at the YC!!

The main pool is very hectic and loud. Most people love it. It's not for everyone though. We prefer the Poly or BWI pool.

Our local news showed some aerial pictures of MK today and it looked like a madhouse. They said it closed due to capacity before lunch and that people were reporting wait times of up to 5 hours! I'm not sure if they knew what they were talking about because I've never heard of 5 hour waits before, but that's what they said.

Can't believe you are going back THIS month! Time flies twice as fast during the holiday season!

Yeah, it would be neat to go for the holidays, but I know we sure couldn't handle the crowds at the parks.

I've wondered about Thanksgiving crowds too... Anyone?? I'm sure it's super crowded, but I wonder how it compares to Christmas and 4th of July?

Wow, what a hectic, crazy few days!!!

Everyone must have made it their New Years Resolution to go to Disney!!! I have been extremely busy since about Monday doing quotes and booking trips!!

So anyway - let's get back to business here! When I left off we were in MK and had just finished riding Dumbo...



After Dumbo we took another peek into the Mine Train construction. I wish they would get this thing done!! By January 25 preferably.





Next up was Tomorrowland! DS14 and I had a PF+ for Space Mtn and DH & DS12 had one for Buzz.





I have to say that my ride on Space wasn't too terrible this time. It was extremely rough like always, I just didn't come off of there this time feeling like I might die!

We called DS12 and he said they had done Buzz and were now on the TTA. We hoped on the TTA hoping to pass them, but just as our ride started they were getting off.






After our ride we all met back up and headed towards Main Street.









We walked over to the bakery to see what it looked like now that it was a Starbucks. I'll tell you what it looked like – CROWDED!! You could hardly get in the door. DH and I thought about getting something to eat, since the plan for lunch was Casey's Corner for the kids. But we weren't interested enough to wait in that line.



So we did a little shopping on Main Street and then went over to Casey's and stood at the front door at about 10:50am and waited for them to open.





A photopass CM came over and asked the kids if they liked Casey's and they told him that they loved it and how we had to eat there every trip. He then asked DS12 if he would like to “throw out the first pitch” and open Casey's!! DS14 whispered to me – what am I, invisible??? DS12 gets to open everything!!





Pretty soon a Casey's CM came out and asked the photopass CM who was going to be opening Casey's today. DS was given a baseball to throw and they did include DS14 and made him lead in the singing!!





It was really fun! I have a video somewhere... It might be on my old computer, I'll have to look. I was given a voucher for a free 5x7 or 8x10 of my choice from my photopass card and was told to stop at the photo place on the way out today to get it!

We went in and got our food. The kids both got corn dog nuggets and fries. DH got a hot dog and fries. And I just had fries. I don't really like hot dogs. I used to be able to eat half of one at Casey's, but not anymore.

Your boys are big Casey's fans - If I recall correctly, you eat there every trip. I'm glad DS 14 was also included in the opening "ceremonies" at Casey's. I'm not a big hotdog fan either, but we always seem to make our way to Casey's, too. Must be because my boys also love hotdogs. They love to sit on the "bleachers" and watch the old movie clips as well.

You must be so excited for your upcoming trip, especially after today's snow. Here in Hershey we have a few inches already. I'm actually hoping for a snow day from school tomorrow (I'm a teacher) - I know pathetic since I just had 12 days off - but I have this terrible head cold and I'd love a day to sleep in and lounge around. I guess we'll find out tomorrow morning...

Nice MK day. Glad your DS14 didn't feel left out. It's so awesome that he still cares. My DS16 could care less about stuff like that anymore... It's kinda sad he's so big. I don't think it would've bothered him at age 14 either

On another note... I have an interview on Monday! I'm excited and so nervous. It's in the same school my niece goes to so my sister so wants me to get the job. We'll see...

Both my brother-in-law and daughter have decided to book trips to Disney and neither of them have been there in at least seven years. There must be something in the air. And then the Disney Visa discounts came out today, too. That should keep you busy for awhile.

Shelly, you are making me feel behind that we haven't started packing yet. I need to take down our Christmas decorations first before the suitcases come out. But I can tell you when I looked at next week's forcast of a High of Zero in Pittbsurgh that I sure am looking forward to 70 weather in Orlando later this month.

For both our sakes, I hope the Coaster opens January 24 so we both can ride

We got some snow last night, but not a ton like some places got. It's freezing here!! Wind chills below zero. We had a 2 hour delay this morning because of the temps. Did you get your day off? I hope you feel better soon!

I took down the tree about 3 days after Christmas. I couldn't have all that clutter AND the suitcases out!!

Yes, not very warm down there today, but sure better than here. Can it get any colder???! Good grief.

It's so stinking cold in Minnesota right now, the governor already called off school for Monday. Some places will get down to -80 windchill. No lie.

I've also had a couple people ask me about Disney, just in the last couple days. Must be that time of year! I'm sure ready to go back.

I am VERY excited to go this month!! I am with you though, I feel like January is too early in the winter. So I know what you mean about March being too late. Mid February would be ideal. Right in the middle of the awful Jan-Feb-Mar for us northerners!! But, mid Feb is too busy and to expensive!!

I can't wait to read your DL report!! I think 2015 is going to be the year for us!!! I know, I say that every year and it never happens. I AM going to make it happen next year.

Yep, everyone definitely has Disney fever right now!!! I booked 8 trips this week alone. Most for August, with our agency special we have going on then. It is an amazing deal!! I have about 3-4 more who say they are going to book next week. Plus the new spring room discounts are coming out Monday!

What was the weather like when you were down there?? I saw yesterday it was only into the upper 40's!! They're at 60 right now. I need it to at least be in the 70's when we are down there!!! Of course - anything above freezing will be a nice change.

It got up to 80-82 over the weekend
Most days were low 70s. It was lovely.
I'm sure you'll see 70s.
