That is a very nice looking waffle iron. My son was in Disney yesterday & they needed warm jackets, but it was only one day the jackets were needed.

Your trip is getting so close. I'm slightly jealous - I am so sick of winter already and I'd love an escape to Florida right about now.

I did get my snow day on Friday. It was delightful - I rested and got to spend some time with my boys playing with some Christmas presents. We ended up with about 7 inches of snow. We probably could've gone to school late, but since the snow only stopped here around 4:00 in the morning I just don't think there was enough time to get all the roads and sidewalks cleared by the start of school.

I forgot to ask you Shelly- was your favorite BW performer that you didn't see Brian Starron??
He is our favorite!! I heard he's not at Disney anymore. The last time we saw him was Feb.

I think his name was Brian! IDK how I know that, but it just seems right. He was awesome and we really miss him. I wonder why he left??

It must have been Brian. He was the best guy out there! My kids loved him. My DH and I was talking to him one night after his show. They have a few new guys now. I actually googled him and he has a website. It's brianstaron.com he is a very popular guy. He has shows going on all over the country. Even PA. I would love to go to one of the shows. He even has one at the Marriott right across the street from my condo in FL. Funny huh??
Not sure why he left but when I googled him a dis boards thread came up- someone said Disney didn't renew his contract. ????? His last day was supposed to be in May, but people reported seeing him in July. Nobody really added to the thread w answers. I'm kinda surprised bc he had a huge following. I even saw some people w his t-shirts on.
Well I was just curious if you were talking about the same guy. Sorry about rambling about him but we are disappointed.

Maybe someone else knows more.

It was 80 down there today. My DH went for a bike ride to enjoy the weather. Of course I like to hear what he's doing but sometimes it's better I don't know. Ya know??!!!! I'm so jealous!!! He missed the blizzard here. He always seems to miss the snow and DS16 and I are stuck doing the snow blowing.

That's so cool that your DS got to open Casey's! Boy he sure got a lot of pixie dust on this trip! Isn't that funny that even on a trip where it was so crowded, your kids still got picked out to do stuff like that?

Opening Casey's looks like fun! We rarely eat there because I don't eat hotdogs either. The boys love their corndog nuggets though. I think they would eat anything as a nugget.

Love the waffle maker, I had the big Mickey head one and didn't like it since it didn't have the waffle "holes" this one looks better!

Yay for MM waffles---- the pics weren't sideways for me either. They look really good! I just pulled our big one out of the box for the kids to make breakfast with. I like the little ones better I think.

Yay for opening Casey's! That's so cute. I wish the CMs would let the bigger kids do more stuff. I think the preteens often fall into the no man's land of being forgotten. Which sometimes I know, that's where they'd rather be since they are too cool for most of the stuff.

That would be rough hearing that from your DH when you are stuck in a snowstorm and freezing temps!

We made cake-pops with the Mickey waffle maker last night. Just used a cake mix instead of the waffle batter. They came out good! Not crispy like the waffles, softer. But, I guess cake isn't really supposed to be crispy!!

Casey's was fun! Yeah, DS14 probably would have been way to cool to open Casey's anyway.



YES, Disneyland IS happening in 2015!!!! It better, dang it!!

After lunch we headed over to Adventureland. It was getting super hot out again. DS was trying to get spit on by the camel!!





Aladdin's carpets had a pretty big line. I asked the kids if they wanted to use our free FP (from being stuck on POTC) there, but they said no. We were very reluctant to ride POTC, but we braved it anyway!! And all went well this time, luckily!










We stopped to get DS12 a little snack!



Then we split up again. DS14 & I had a FP+ for BTMRR and DH & DS12 had one for the HM. Good thing we had a FP+, it was crowded!!



After we rode BTMRR we walked over towards the HM to meet up with DH & DS12.












They weren't done yet, so we stopped in a little kitchen shop in Liberty Square and I bought these coasters.





When they came out of the HM we decided to use our FP's (that we had received the other night from our extra long journey on POTC) and we all rode the HM together.

By this point it was about 1:00. It was extremely hot again and we had all had enough. So we slowly made our way to Main Street, did a little shopping, and headed out.

I hate it was so hot for you during this trip. When it's so bad that you want to leave MK by 1:00, you know it is HOT! We experienced that on our first trip. The temperature wasn't super hot, but there was a tropical storm brewing and the humidity was unbelievable. It was the kind of day where you pour sweat just standing still. We ended up ditching the MK really early too and went back to the pool. I absolutely adore the MK, but even I have my limits. I always hate that the weather is such a wild card on vacation. I'm predicting that you are going to have fabulous weather for your January trip though!!! Speaking of weather, how are you liking this front that just came through? It is crazy cold here you I know you are freezing up there!

This trip was crazy HOT!! But, we survived. There's always something to do at Disney, no matter what the weather.

Talk about extremes. It was nearly 100 when we were on FL and it's barely 1 here right now!! Wind chills are well below zero. No school today or tomorrow. And that's bad, it takes a lot for our school to cancel.

Looks like a fun afternoon except for the heat of course! I really like those coasters, I bought the wooden spoon set that matches awhile ago and love them. I always find something in that little store, its one of my favorites even though its kind of small.

Our schools are closed again today, the boys aren't complaining about the extended Christmas break. I think it has more to do with the -28 windchill today than the snow, but we did get about 15" since Sunday. It takes a lot to close our schools too, we are hardcore here!

Wow I loved this update! Maybe since I'm tired, I don't know, but I sat here in front of the fire with my coffee in hand reading it and imagining I was in the MK on a hot summer day and... I loved it.

Made me wish I was there, and dare I say --- I missed it.


What do they make the MM head things out of in the bakery? They look good. I know the ears are marshmallows-- what's the head part?

I'm glad your ride on POTC wasn't awful that time-- at least it made up for it!

I know it was hot that day, but dang, I love a summer day at WDW. It's the best for me I guess!
