I've read in numerous places that we might be able to see the animals at the AKL-Kidani from Sanaa. We currently have ADR's in the early evening so that hopefully our girls can see some. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on the animal viewing?

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

It sort of depends on the animals and where they are wandering, but one wall of the restaurant is floor to ceiling windows out to the main savannah. I'm not sure if all the tables have viewing, but I would say at least a majority do. There are tables alongside the windows. We sat on the interior once and still had ample viewing of the giraffes walking around.

The restaurant entrance is right beside the doors to the outdoor viewing area too - so you can always just walk outside after you eat. We've had the most luck for active animals with a late lunch/early dinner. My whole family loves Sanaa. :thumbsup2

We were seated in a section that didn't have viewing. We were staying savannah view there so it wasn't a big deal for us but wanted to point out there is a section with no viewing (we were a party of 4).

I would mention at the podium that you want a table with a view. It can't hurt to ask.

Thank you! These are exactly the sort things I was hoping to find out. :thumbsup2

We went in Dec last year and I made sure to get a ressie for 5pm (they were not offering a lunch option at that time) and requested a table next to the window. We had a great view of the giraffes, zebras, and gazelles, even though it got dark shortly after we arrived. I really enjoyed it, and the food is great too!

We had a late lunch at Sanaa (2 pm). We were able to get a window seat and sw a zebra about 10 feet away as well as giraffes and an ostrich. We love Sanaa. I would go during the day and not at night because of the ability to see the animals.

How wonderful! :goodvibes Can't wait to go. Our ADR time is for 5:05 pm in September so I'm pretty sure we'll be okay for seeing the animals at least for awhile. I thought it would make a nice way to end our AK day. :)
