San Jaun to Port Canaveral

Hi, This might already be somewhere, but I can't find any advice on it. We're leaving from San Juan and the cruise ends in Port Canaveral in May 2017. What is the best way to get to the Orlando airport from the Port Canaveral. Do we just catch a cab? Arrange for transfers through DCL? Its confusing since we only need one way transportation. Thanks so much!

Using DCL transportation is 35.00 per person one way.
Depending on how many people are in your group you maybe better off renting a car one way to OIA from the port.

DCL transportation is very easy to use even when only using it one direction. If there are 3 or less of you in your travel party it is what I would recommend.

Also if you book DCL transfers, are flying out of MCO on a domestic flight that leaves after 11:30 am and that airline is part of the participating airlines for Disney's "Onboard Airline Check In" program, you can take advantage of it.

If so, DCL will print and deliver your airline boarding passes and luggage tags directly to your cabin, check you in for your flight, handle your checked bags from your cabin to your home airport. You only have to deal with your carry ons on morning of disembarkation. You just put your checked bags outside your cabin the last night and you won't see them again until your home airport.

If you meet all the parameters it is a great, convenient way to go.

Not to hijack the thread, but if you use the onboard airline check in, you leave your luggage for pick up and then don't get it until baggage claim at your home airport? Is there ever any issues with this?

Yep.

Not that I've ever heard of.

Unless you pack ALL of your clothes in the suitcase you put out for pickup. And have to disembark and ride the plane home in your pajamas. (please oh please wear pajamas to sleep LOL).

(DH packed up all of my shoes but the flipflops I had on. January, flying home to Seattle, in flip flops. And I'm a cold-footed person to begin with. I've since realized that we all had a part in that; DH for not thinking, me for not looking over and re-checking, and our room attendant for taking my organized groups of shoes and mushing them together so when I pointed "over there" as the shoes to pack my flying-home shoes were in that group.)

Depends how many are in your party. DCL transport is fine, but if there are more than 3 in your party, it might be more cost effective and quicker to book a car service.
