San Francisco Pics

I was in San Francisco over the weekend. We had Sunday to tour the area. One of the people I work with lives in the area so we took us all over the area.

It was fun seeing the reactions of the people watching the 4 of us, then 5 of us using the same model camera taking pictures.

When we were taking pictures of the bridge at sunset we had someone take a picture of the 5 of us with the three tripods. I can't wait to see that picture.

I hate heights and scary mountaintop roads but put a camera in my hands and I will go just about anywhere.

I just got back so I have had a chance to process the images yet. But I think I have a few keepers in the file.

Cool shots! I wish I had a guide when I was there. The earliest vineyard shots are awesome. THey remind me of an Italian countryside...., or a california vineyard!
#39 realy portrays how far away Alcatraz must have seemed for the prisoners. I highly recommend the tour.

WOW! Movie scenes!

Pics #1-4 were taken at a spot that appeared in "Dirty Harry" (Ann Mary Deacon was found there).

I'm pretty sure that Pic #24 appeared in "An Officer and a Gentleman" as part of the OCS training compound.

And of course Alcatraz has appeared in dozens of films, most notably in "Escape from Alcatraz", "The Enforcer," and "The Rock."

I love movies, can you tell?

Thanks for sharing. It looks like you had a great time! I have not been to SF (well CA at all) and hope to make the trip soon! I enjoyed your DL pics as well! I have always loved seeing photos of the Golden Gate Bridge!

SF is one of the most photographic cities I have ever visited, and one of the nicest. I really like it there. Nice pictures.
