Southern California San Diego - Residence Inn by Marriott Mission Valley vs Embassy Suites La Jolla

There isn't huge selection of 2 bedroomed suits, any opinion for the location or property - the two options I am finding are Residence Inn by Marriott Mission Valley vs Embassy Suites La Jolla

DH just finished a business trip to the RI Mission Valley and said it was fine. The two hotels aren't close together, so it really does depend on where you want to be and which hotel is closer to your chosen activities.

Yes, these are two totally different areas of SD. I would pick based on where you want to spend more time - for zoo/museums/ Seaworld/Gaslamp Mission Valley is more convenient. But La Jolla is beautiful, great restaurants and beaches and not too out of the way for the other things. Mission Valley is usually cheaper as well, with a ton of hotels close together.
