San Angel Inn OR La Hacienda de San Angel

Does anyone have recent reviews of San Angel Inn? We enjoyed it VERY much a couple of trips ago & are trying to decide between San Angel Inn or La Hacienda de San Angel for something new.

I would pass on either. We had ADR for San Angel but from what people told me here on the boards, other reviews online and from friends who go to WDW all the time they said it's one of the worst places lately. Food is not up to par and service is the same. They said if we HAD to do a Mexican sit down restaurant, then to go with La Hacienda but only if we had to. We cancelled and passed on Mexican food for this trip unless it is quick service

My friend and I had the worst meal at San Angel and the service was terrible. I don't mind the quick service, its good not great.

Oh that is so sad. Worst place on the boards?!?! Yikes!!! It has one of the BEST atmospheres, what a shame.

Again,wow! Thank you for sharing though. I really didn't expect so many bad reviews this time around, since it was so good last time we went. I guess it can all depend on the chefs & cooks. Looks like we are going to skip them all together.

I'm sticking with my lunch ADR at San Angel Inn in October. I've always wanted to eat there and even if the food is meh, there are always margaritas, chips and salsa!

Seriously, two diners can eat at the exact same time at the same restaurant and can have differeing opinons on everything.

My family just ate at San Angel Inn for the first time this August. We had avoided it because of negative reviews, but my daughter cannot eat gluten, and Mexican food is often very gluten free. It was a lovely and delicious meal for all! VERY glad we took a chance on it! Jimena, our server, was wonderful as well! (We had an 8:00 dinner)

Ohh I am not liking this. We booked dinner one night there. I love Mexican food and the atmosphere in the temple is amazing
