Can you use your gift card at the Disney Store to buy Disney Dollars?

I know you can use Disney Dollars for payment towards your on-board account.

No, you can't buy disney dollars or disney gift cards with disney store gift cards. I asked this question directly to the Disney Store just a few weeks ago.

I called a disney store in Palisades NY and they said YES! That's awesome. Heading to Sams with to stock up to pay off my cruise then use the $10 cards to buy park passes!

Random question, but if I bought these to put towards our cruise would it make us ineligible to get the Disney Visa OBC since I paid a portion with a gift card? (We made our deposit with the Disney Visa)... just curious.

I might get 1 or 2... but don't want to be "stuck" with them...

I believe that store was wrong. The packaging and the DS card say it can't be used toward the purchase of theme park passes.

OK, I'm going to sound like an idiot here (but I'm fairly used to it)

You know that high-end outlet mall that has a high-end Disney discount store in Orlando (not the lower-end outlet mall with the lower-end Disney discount store). I don't remember the names of either of the malls right now....Anyway, I think that the 1st disney store is run by the Disney folk. So would the gift cards be redeemable there? I love that store!

Check again in case you got a store person who didn't really know the answer. I was told "no."

Both the Woodbury and Fridley Sam's Clubs have them. I bought 25 of them.

Can they be used at the huge Disney Store at Downtown Disney? We usually spend a bundle there and seems like we get a 10% discount there when using our Disney Visa.

Also, our local Dillons grocery store is offering 4x's gas points with the purchase of any of their gift cards including the Disney cards. I bought all of my holiday gift cards, Disney stocking stuffers cards for the kids, Disney gift cards for Valentines Day & Easter and a $250 Disney Card for us in preparation for our Dream trip in May. I used my Disney Visa, so got the extra bonus there too. This special is good through 12/11, so I plan to buy additional cards to pay for the cruise before it ends.
