Same email read on two different podcast shows

I was listening to another podcast today and they answered the exact same question that the Dis answered on their Thursday email show, or at least a very recent show. I just thought it interesting and wondered if anyone else caught it.

Dave, I was wondering the same thing. There are podcasts out there other than the DIS??? How could this be? I don't think it is true. And even if it is, we wouldn't be discussing it here on Pete's DIS boards, right?

I heard that too. I guess it isn't surprising since so many people listen to multiple podcasts. I listen to Lou's and WDW Today along with the DIS.

I only listen to other podcasts because the Dis is only two days a week and I drive five days a week an hour each way.

Some people want to badly to get their question answered they will send it everywhere!

In this particular case, the Dis gang gave a much better answer than Lou and Becci from Mousefan Travel.

Wonder if it was also sent to WDW Today. The question might be answered months from now!

I listen to several different podcast throughout the week, but the Dis Unplugged is the ONLY Disney podcast I listen to. I have heard the others, but they just aren't worth my time as well intended as they are.

Pete & John have found the magic formula.

While I don't intend to dog on other podcasts, I've always found that DisUnplugged is by far the most reliable in terms of accurate information.

One of the others recently fielded a question about whether or not DVC resort point costs would go up, and responded by saying that point costs went up once a few years ago, and just went up again for 2010. (No, we're not talking about the cost of buying points, we're talking the point value for accommodations) Responses like that are, at best, a half-truth.

I did catch that also. While I'd love nothing more than to listen to just the DIS, its only covers about 3 hrs of my 40 hr work week. I did start from the bottom on the listen now link and go back to listen to the original podcast. Its kinda neat...

This is just my own rant, but it drives me absolutely insane when I hear the same voicemail played on more than one podcast in the same week. Come on, I know there are several podcasts out there, but can't people come up with different questions? All the shows have different POV- please don't send the same question or comment to all of them and see if they play it. Very annoying!

Me too!! I JUST started listening to Mongellos since I didn't have anything to listen to and thought I'd broaden my horizons. A few Disers had mentioned that one in another thread about a month ago and I went to check it out. I'm working my way thru his archives now. So it's the first time I've heard the same question being answered on more than 1 podcast. With so many e-mails being sent and so little time on all shows to answer them, ITA. At least give it a couple of months and if you don't get an answer then try another show.

i dont think they were different people....the guy could have just sent the same question to two podcasts...heheh probably should have waited a week or two to get an anwer but o well

I heard this also!

Not so hot on WDW Radio I was about a year ago, but I still listen to it. I used to find all of the DSI's with Jeff Pepper (before he went AWOL) really interesting and informative, and I love the detail that Lou goes into with his Wayback Machine. His more recent regular guests seem more preoccupied with injoking etc, I take a lot less from it. But Lou seems like a great guy with a very generous heart. Good on him for offering a different perspective on all things WDW.

Not to be mean, but I stopped listening to Lou's after I got bored....

He was just too nice....
