Same day re-entry & FL resident question

Hi!

Just wondering if you are able to leave the park for a couple of hours and re-turn the same day with a one-day pass?? Does anyone know if FL Resident specials, like the current 2-for-1 ticket, are available at the gate? We just decided yesterday that we are going to go for the day tomorrow, so buying tickets online is not possible.
