Sam, I was watching Numbers the other night. Have you ever seen this show? it's about a mathematician who helps hos brother in the FBI solve cases... but I digress. In this episode Charlie (the mathematician) married Amita (also a mathematician) the wedding was officiated by their friend Larry who is a phisicist (sp?) and as soon as I heard the ceremony I thought of you. I made DF keep it on the PVR so I could write down the words. It went like this:
At the request of the bride and groom I will keep my remarks short and non-technical. As you all know the four fundamental forces of physics are electromagnetism, strong nuclear interactions, weak nuclear interactions and gravity. We are talking about the forces that bind the universe, but what binds humans? Love. Powerful in small spaces yet with profound effect on distance. Love defies time, outliving both its source and its object. Love is faster than light, light requires time in order to travel through space, but love reaches its object instantaneously. Love journeys forever into infinity and its here binding together two lives.
Do we have the rings? Symbolic of eternity and rendered in a beautiful element.

P.S. about the cakes I love the square one and I think the topper would go on it. Are those the colours you would do it in? I have managed to forget your colours

I love the cake topper. I'm glad I just had an escape cake otherwise i'd never have been able to pick a cake.
I think I'd probably do a custom with an escape anyway. Cause i'm trouble.
If your not using the topper for the topper (that sounds weird) I think I would personally pick the first or last one. I love mad hatters, and I love the colours on the Futurama cake, and if you both love it, it would make sense. I really like the other cakes too, but I found when I was planning, I wanted a traditional cake because I felt I have to. When we decided on the mad hatter, I knew it reflected us more. I think chose whatever is more "you"

My favorites are the second and third and I think those would work best with the topper on top, but if you do a Madd Hatter you can have the topper on the table. I bet they could even do a Madd Hatter themed around your topper if you wanted, I saw an amazing Cinderella inspired Madd Hatter that the Disney bakery did once.
That would be really awesome. I wonder what they'd come up with...
All the cake choices look great.. all very different. I like the first and the third the most, and I love the cake topper! I haven't seen that one anywhere.

My dear Sam... you know how I feel about mad hatter cakes! SO I must vote for that! Although I do totally love the Futurama one too!
But I think Disney could easily theme a mad hatter cake around you pretty Snow White topper, so that still gets my favor.

Have you guys decided on a cake design yet? I love the first one, mad hatter cakes are always so colorful and pretty. I really think the cake topper would look nice on the 2nd one though!! And the Futurama cake...well that one is just crazy awesome.
We're still very undecided. Honestly, the last thing we've been thinking about it is fun wedding stuff...although I did buy the David Tutera cake cutting set since it was on super sale!
Things here are very anxious and sometimes just upsetting. I'm not sure if anyone is from Jersey, or a teacher, but the new Governor is a total (WORD that should not be used on the DIS) and he seems to have a grudge against us and pulling 5% of the education budget, which doesn't seem like much, but in our district of 6 high schools, cuts $7 million. That means 42 positions are being cut. Which means I could be cut. And in my fiance's district, they could cut 30 positions from 5 schools. And we're both basically new hires. But we're science teachers, who are dual certified- he's middle school and bio, and I'm bio and chem. I mean...CHEMISTRY! Ugh, it's just really frustrating that we're worried about being re-hired.
And it's all we can think about. And what we'd do if we don't. I'm fairly certain we should have jobs next year, but you never know. House-hunting has been put on hold. And most places have a job freeze, if they are not cutting positions so there's no place to really go. I'd most likely just go back to school, and totally change my career. I had always wanted to go to med school but choose a life that would mean a better family life (being on the same schedule, more time, etc...) over the career. But now, being a teacher is no longer convenient...so I could attempt that, or vet school, or get a masters, or something. Whatever happens, it's very stressful right now.
