Sooo, starting from about where I missed out - I love the purple star shoes! Your locations are SO awesome and seem just perfect for you two! You and Mike made a super cute Snow White and Prince Charming. :thumbsup2 I vote for the first ribbon headband, and I like the second BM dress you posted recently.

It's all coming together!!! :goodvibes So exciting!

I am going to be no help, and say I love all three of the headbands equally!! They are so pretty! Actually, if i HAD to pic, I would prob go for the second one, but all three are gorgeous.

I like both the BM dresses as well, but I think I like the second one more!

I like the first one better.

I do like it, but it's rather low cut...

Thank you!! I've missed you! They also have the shows in a bright blue too!

I do really like them all. I'm leaning towards #2, but none of them are perfect. We're considering going to Kleinfelds when they have a maria elena trunk show, and finding inspiration, then asking someone on etsy to make something similar, or taking the beading pattern in the dress and having them replicate it.

As for the BM, I have a feeling we'll be do Davids Bridal. They have all those colors, and dress choices and I'd like the BMs to look different but connected...like the same color family and different dresses and shades. Perhaps even blues, not purples, or jeweled tones. I feel like everyone I know is doing purple...and I found the same star shoes is a hot blue color...and I think the blues go with the LSS. Who knows. I'll be taking my 2 cousins, who are BMs dress shopping over x-mas break so I'll definitely get pics.

I really like the bottom Watters dress, and I realized...I'm picking out dresses I'd want to wear, and I won't get to wear them. I'd rather pick out nice (but cheaper) BM dresses, and I can always buy that Watters one for a different occasion. It's not bridesmaidy at all, and I really like it...:rolleyes1

Just coz the men are in grey why do the girls need to be? I'd say you can put them in whatever colour you want, the men can match them with a tie or waistcoat.

That's why I need the color to go with grey. (ps I love spelling grey the English way, with an e not an a) I don't need them to be in grey, however, whatever color they are in will most likely be the color of the vests. I know grey goes with a lot of colors, but I don't want clashing with the vest and suits. Also it needs to go with ivory, as that is the color of my dress.

BTW, here's a pic of the bright blue shoes they have on ebay, vs. the purple. Right now the purple are not in stock. I bought a pair but they were too big, and currently they are not in. There is a chance they won't ever come back in stock. I'm not sure how I feel about the blue. I'd still wear my purple shoes even if the girls are not in purple, but I may not find them again....what do you ladies think? Too much??

I really like the blue shoes. Blue will look really nice with the gray too, as long as the shades of both are not too similar, most colors will look good with gray, so maybe find a dress you love for the girls and then you can pick the color that matches best?

Thanks Sara! I think I will order them!

I got my planner!! Carol Mickles!! :dance3: Anyone have her? She sounds really sweet on the phone, kinda southern...like she'd be a blond Charlie from heroes, Anyway, I'm super excited! We also got our vouchers, and I booked Patricia LeJeune for hair and makeup and a hair trial in June when we go down for a ps! :dance3::yay::banana: (Can you tell I'm excited??)

yey! Carol is our planner! She is super sweet!

Also, I heart your star shoes, and wish they came in green, they would totally match our cake lol

Wooohooo! Lots of good news for you! Those shoes are super cute!

That is great that you've got your planner.

Thanks everyone! I'm so excited. Carol seems very nice. We received our questionnaire in the email, and the menus, which are the ones posted on magical kingdoms. I was hoping for different ones :( Oh well. :confused3

I did buy the shoes, it was the last night on ebay. And I put the purple ones I had previously purchased that were too big, and I bought a silver pair too. One already sold (less than 24 hours!) And they want to purchase the purple ones too! I didn't make a profit, but at least I got my money back. :goodvibes

Ps There's SO MUCH SNOW!!!

Your planning looks like it's going well. You must be so happy that it's Chrsitmas break and you can get more wedding stuff done. Yay for your planner being assigned. I can't wait until mine is. You were so worried about that 1 inch heel for your shoes the shoes I ordered for my wedding have about a four inch heel (:scared1:), but then I wear heels all the time :rotfl:

Enjoy your break and BM dress shopping I'm so happy my sisters dress in already in as is my dress, now we just have to go to the fittings :yay:

It's not winter break yet... :sad2: Other district's were closed today, like DFs! But mine is open, and we have a half day tomorrow as well. So it's not over yet. But we're not getting much done so it's alright.

I am excited about planning! The blue shoes came in and they look awesome. They're a little snug and I can't tell if that's because they are actually too small, stiff, or I'm just neurotic and I like wearing my shoes WAY TOO BIG :confused3 But they look amazing! So I have to take some pics and post them later.

Have fun at your fittings!

Hi Sam! Since you were the first person to post on my PJ, I just had to come and read yours! It took me a while to read it all, but I just finished and am hooked! I LOVE your engagement story... I always dreamed about getting engaged in central park while Ice Skating. (Serendipity is my favorite movie!) I am going to school to be a teacher as well (Elementary). I think it's great you are both science teachers! I saw the pictures of Living Seas and they are so nice... making me think I might want my reception there. You will have to tell me what you thought when you get back from the marathon. Me and DF are also thinking of Hawaii for a honeymoon. Do you know which island(s) you are planning on visiting?

Thanks Amy!! It was really romantic and sweet. We are the two biggest science dorks...even the other science teachers nicknamed me "nerd" :rotfl: But we are and we are proud of it! I totally give props to elementary ed teachers, my mom taught 3rd grade, and now she is a supervisor. And it's hard planning so many lessons. It's nice in high school, (especially since I totally lucked out ONLY teaching Lab Chem) so I basically do the same lesson 4 times in a row...of course 16 year olds are a LOT different than 8 year olds. I will definitely post pics from the site visit. The LSS looks like a really elegant but unique and funky reception site. And that's what we want. I don't want a ballroom.

We're staying on Maui I think, and plan to visit the big island and possibly others. I'm not a big sit on your butt and suntan person ( that's how I look at the beach...unhappy and RED!) So we plan on scuba diving, and exploring, and hiking and stuff. We're big GO GO GO people (Commando style)

Also we booked our PS!! Carol wanted it split into 2 sessions on 2 days, one for planning and one for food and I actually think this is a great idea because I don't think it will take 4 hours in planning (considering I don't give a HOOT about linens and floral) and that way we can use the tasting as a lunch on a second day. I totally need food recommendations and I think I'll post a thread in the main board asking about that.

And the bad news, Mike and I had a big fight yesterday, but I think everything is better. We needed to vent about some things and a little tiff turned into massive 3 hour cry fest (mostly by me, because I'm super emotional) and today my head is reeling from the dehydration. But it needed to be done and we said some things that we both needed to hear. I really think one of the most important things a couple can do is to learn HOW TO FIGHT. Which I think we do fairly well, sometimes we tend to make the other feel guilty but we never let it end until we've made up and that's a good thing.

Anyway, 2.5 hours to go until the end of school. I hate shortened days because they remove lunch and the kids are crazy anyway and they always fall on a wednesday, which is when my worst class has lab, so I'm class 4 periods straight, ending with my :headache: class. Oh well. Soon it will be vacation. :cloud9:

Sam, I'm so sorry to hear about your fight, but am glad everything is ok now. Your planning session sounds great with the two days. Where are you staying? I work in a school right now doing the after school program, and today is their last day before vacation too, I'm so excited! I'm glad to hear you have some time off to do some wedding planning!

Hey girl, just caught up on your PJ! YAY for getting a planner!!!! The blue shoes you got are amazing! They are so spunky and cute, I think they'll look great with your dress so I'm glad they fit. I love it when brides take a chance with accessories that aren't traditional...love them! I'm sorry about your fight but it's good you guys resolved the issue...fighting can be healthy. I usually get worried when I hear about couples that never fight. I wonder how they deal with differences in opinions!

Thanks Amy. At first I was upset about split of the planning session but now I'm really warming up to it. I can't believe it's almost 180 days, so I'm planning the ADRs this week. I have no idea where we are staying. My mom's friend offered us her DVC points so if that comes through we'll be staying at one of those resorts. If not, who knows. My mom said let's stay value but Mike and I did that last night and weren't too thrilled. So who knows.

Thanks Wendy. The planner seems nice so far. I really like the shoes too. I miss my original mouse ones, that I stole but PrincessShea, but I never ordered them and before I knew it they were sold out!! :scared1: So they are an excellent replacement. I totally agree about the fighting. It's good to air your feelings, and honestly, I think it makes a couple stronger.

Did you find any BM dresses? Can't wait to hear more!

No BM dresses :sad1: Trip got canceled due to conflicting schedules. So oh well, more online browsing for me. We did decide on a couple things however. First thing: Mike's wedding present...I'm buying him a kitten! :cutie: We both still live at home, and when we move, we're only taking my one cat Emme. We bought her together so she's fairly close to Mike, but honestly she'd follow me anywhere and she's my baby. She greets me at the door, follows me around everywhere, cuddles with everyone, but me mostly, so Mike wants basically an Emme for himself so he finally decided on a ragamuffin kitten.

Secondly for Christmas I bought DF this awesome tie. (awesome to use since we're SUPER geeks!) And then I realized it matched my dress, and since I bought it from Etsy, you can get it customized in any color, and we decided we MUST get them for the groomsmen, so now we're thinking they maybe should just be in suits rather than tuxes since the tie just SO awesome!

I can't believe in two weeks our Marathon trip to Disney will almost be over!! I can't believe I'm actually going to run a marathon :scared1::scared1:
