Hooray for Japan!! We LOVED our ceremony there this past July, and I highly recommend splurging and going for the Japanese Taiko drummers. They were amazing! :worship:

As for your room block, we had both AKL and CR in ours, and everyone chose AKL. We stayed at both places, and we really didn't enjoy our stay at CR. If you choose CR, I would really recommend upgrading from the Garden Wing. It is like staying in a damp basment. :sad2:

I wonder how many people it feeds.

Isn't it ridiculous!!

Aw, I'm sorry you didn't like the CR. We decided on there, because it was cheaper and honestly I like the way the rooms look. Also for the convenience. We really like AKL but we felt it was too far out of the way. We know the Epcot resorts are the closest and most convenient but I can't stand the room theming...I don't know why, it just really doesn't appeal to me. So the happy medium was the CR. I really like the room design, and it's convenient. I mean I love Boma but I just want to be close...and now it gives me an excuse to ride the monorail in my dress. :rolleyes1

wow that is some cake! It must feed a ton of people. Great location pics, how exciting!

Haha, thanks Sara. My parents went and took the pics. We're going down in January to run the marathon :eek: And we planned a site visit. So we'll have more.

And we just received our LOA! :dance3::dance3::dance3: We're rushing it so we get our APs in time for the marathon so that's why we had to make the room block decision. And Pam just sent it over today. It just feels so real!! :bride::yay: (and I'm going overboard with smilies, haha)

YEAH FOR LOA! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

We still haven't sent it in yet. My parents want to look over it really well and they haven't had the time... :(
OOoh, very good point!! :thumbsup2
Isn't it? I definitely want to do that

So now it's time for some honest opinions. I'm looking online for one of those ribbon headbands. I always like the idea of a headband (and I really don't want to do a veil) and I saw on Say Yes to the Dress, a really pretty ribbon headband (which was ridiculously expensive) and I like the idea of one. I know I tend to get a headache if I wear a regular headband for any extended period of time, and we're having a morning wedding and a DP so that is a very long time! So I need something comfortable. These headbands are actually kinda hard to find online, and the only place with any variety is etsy. Here a few I like, from cheapest to most expensive:

and now this one I know is a little weird, but it just calls out to me...
I can't tell if it's interesting and couture, or just tacky and weird

Df likes it, but mom...not so much. She thinks the bird is weird. I can't decide. Help please! :flower3:

my favorite is the first ribbon headband. I think it will give you just the right amount of sparkle. Your dress is so elegant and classic, I think the bird one would take away from that.

Thanks for the opinion Sara. I am worried about it being "too much"

BTW here are some terrible pics of DF's sis in the bm dresses. I think they took them on the cell phone, so it's very poor quality and lighting. I'm also not so sure about the sizing. How about some more opinions?

The smallest size the dresses' come in is a 6, and a 6P (which is the size the silver one is)

PS I hope everyone had a very happy Turkey day!

So I LOVE the headband idea - I've never thought of that! I'm a huge fan of #2...it looks so vintage and the blue lace is gives it a delicate touch. I do like #1 too, but just not as much...they are both lovely. Not too sure about the bird thing either, hehe...but it's very pretty too! :flower3:

Thanks Wendy! I think I'm definitely into number 2 right now. I really love Maria Elena hair pieces but they are super expensive. I'm actually considering going to a trunk show of hers at Kleinfields in February.

Also news on the BM dress...they are sold out. So it's back to the drawing board for dresses.

And I'm also freaking out. I received my LOA 2 weeks ago, and apparently it was due today. My parents want my brother (who's a lawyer) to read it, and just let it sit. Grrrr.... I emailed my WC and told her what happened, and asked if there was anything I could do. I really hope everything will be ok. And I'm kinda surprised there was no reminders or anything that the date was coming up. Or at least an email today asking why they hadn't received it... Oh well, hopefully it will all work out...hopefully.

I like the first headband best.

I hope they are ok about not getting your LOA back yet.

Yes. I spoke to Pam yesterday and she told me not to worry. They weren't going to cancel anything. I guess they are more lax on that deadline. She said she'd let me know when it was received. :worship:

So everything is going smoothly. I was looking at new BM dresses last night and saw some I liked from Alfred Angelo. I'll have to post them later tonight.

I agree, I like the first headband too. I totally agree about regular headbands bothering my head too!

Glad to hear everything worked out with sending in the LOA :thumbsup2 Looking forward to seeing the other dress choices.

i LOVE head band #2. that one is really pretty. the bm dresses look like they fit the waist fine the bust area looks like it needs to be taken in a little bit. Or they could just buy some massive push up bras and that would probably do the trick. my one bm has that problem with her dress so instead of paying for 100.00 in alterations she just bought a bra with more stuffing in it and it looks fine. :thumbsup2

I get headaches regularly, brought on by allergies and stress, so I don't want anything else to bother it. Picking out dresses is really frustrating! I'm not a big dress person and it's really hard to pick things out!

Yeah, only 1 of my BM is well endowed (but she makes up for the rest of them). It doesn't matter now though. The dress is sold out and they are not planning on making any more, so I'm off to look at more BM dresses

Does anyone have an recommendations for places to find dresses, besides the traditional like david's bridal, morilee, watters, dessy, alfred angelo, etc...???

BM dress and colors:

So there are very few dresses and designers I've been liking lately, but Watters has been one of them. Here are 2 top contenders:

I really like the coloring on this dress, and it includes the gray, so the BMs won't stand out too much, but it's got a splash of the green I love so much. They could always do purple accents, or maybe teal....I'm getting a feeling for a "peacock" color theme

I also like this style. You can change the colors, and even do 3-tone. I think it's different and I like that.

I also think we may be changing some of colors. We have to keep a gray-ish tone, so cooler colors because DF wants a gray morning tux, and gray tuxes on the guys. I either like jeweled tones, like the peacock, or gray and yellow which I love but it would probably wash out my girls....
