I thought of you today. I was looking at some pin information and saw a pin from the big pin party they had at Epcot over the summer that had the periodic table on it.

of course it's a table of pins so not elements but still fun

Yay for registering! We got a few gifts off our registry already and it's so much fun. Actually registering was a little overwhelming, I felt weird requesting such expensive stuff but as the lady said people want to get you a nice gift and you should put stuff on there that you wouldn't buy for yourself. Most people are going to get you gifts anyway, so it makes it easier for them to know what you want. You can put a link on your website if you have one and add the website to the invite if you wanted.

The ring is really pretty and it is something you're going to wear everyday, so you do want to love it. Maybe if that ring is too expensive you can go to a jeweler and see if you could have something similar made.

The costumes are really cute and I don't think they're cheesy.

Thanks Sara. I do feel so weird about it. And it's hard because we're not moving out for a year so I'm unsure what I want, or need. Because we can't really pick out linens and all that stuff, because we don't know what our house will look like. Basically I have down some knives I want, the kitchenaid, etc... kitchen stuff. That's my area of craving. We're really going to try and ask for gift cards because of the unknown factor. I know people prefer buying a gift, but honestly it would be the most helpful.

Df really likes Halloween so he's definitely willing to spend the money on things like that, and honestly he's probably spent way more on a costume. They weren't that expensive either. But we figured since we're having our engagement party on halloween, we could go "all out" although we could totally do more intense.

Thanks Sam! They are awesome. They actually came in over the weekend while I was hiking. I really like the purple ones, not so much the silver. But I ordered them too big. So I need to ship them back to China and exchange them. The silver I'm thinking about exchanging for a pair of the mice ones. I can't post pics because all I have is my iphone (not good quality) and my mom is bringing home our camera tomorrow.

Today we were really productive. My mom and I had the day off, and we spent it looking at paper (and shopping ) and we bought paper to make invitations for the engagement/halloween party. We printed them and the envelopes too. So we're almost ready to ship them (again pics posting tomorrow). I also think I'm going to start a registry, because my mom thinks some of her friends and family would want to know what to get us. We're not including the registry in the invites (tacky!) but we'll be prepared if they want one.

I've also started checking out rings again and I feel like I'm in love with one (expensive of course)



I love it because of the helix. It's so us. Big science geeks, hehe

I also like this one because I could wear my e-ring with it.

Thanks everyone!!! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. This week was hectic. Progress reports were due at school and I wasn't entirely up to date with their grades... So it was a bit of a mad rush. But that's all done. It's 90 days out until our trip to Disney for the marathon so I called to make our ADRs, and surprisingly, we got them all except 50's Prime Time Cafe...weird right??? We're heading down on Friday night so we don't need to take that day off, and staying until Tuesday evening, so it's 2 personal days. My mentor wasn't too happy, but they are my days, and I don't take my sick days. Whatever We got a deal that was 1/2 off what Disney was quoting us for the Polynesian, so we'll be staying in style We really just want to use our short time there wisely and enjoy our trip. It's going to be our first marathon and I'm a little nervous. The farthest I've ever ran was 5.5 miles, but I'm training (somewhat) and I feel like I'll be able to finish in the time allotment just walking so here's to hoping.

Here's our plans:

Sat Lunch: Mama Melrose (I wanted 50 PTC, and may cancel this and just do a CS)
Sat Dinner: Captain Cooks and Kona sushi bar
SUN: RUN!! Then Boma at 4:30, and probably snack at Casey's
Monday: Kona Breakfast, Flying Fish for dinner
Tuesday: Le Cellier lunch

We're considering doing a site visit, but I can't imagine our picking any place different than LSS. We'll do our PS in June, when school is finished.

As for wedding stuff, the engagement party invites are out...still need to post pics sorry! Costumes ordered, and we should be getting the sample flowers sometime next week. I will definitely post pictures then.

I just missed you Adelia!! I can't wait for the party, but I'm not enjoying making a registry. I do love both rings. The stand alone one is just so us...looking like DNA, because we're super geeks but I do like the other one since I could wear it together, or alone. I like the idea of the different color dresses, and I really love that first website you gave where you can change the colors of the dresses and see what works (I was playing with it for a while!!)

Oh I totally am going to do one Katie. I'm so excited. I'm planning on stopping and taking pictures with every character along the marathon route. I just hope I make it in time. I'm so excited for the poly. And it's awesome because you can walk to the TTC as well!

I just emailed my consultant today asking about the site visit. I'm just worried since it's such a short visit. But it definitely is a good idea to check it out. My parents want to as well, because they are going down in early November, and they'll be dropping off the down payment as well.

I know we should do one. I'm just nervous because that's really our only venue choice so I really hope we like it. I think we will. I am really excited about the poly. We figured since we were running the marathon, we should a) treat ourselves, b) expect to spend more time at the hotel vs. doing the parks commando style, and c) it will really save us time back and forth from the parks, and will be very convenient for the marathon, since we can just hop on the monorail to Epcot which means more sleep.

We got a really good deal. I mean we're spending more money than I'd really like to, but I talked with our PC, and she said that when we put down the deposit and sign the contract we get our annual passes, and that we'd get them in time for the marathon, so we plan on using them and that saves us some money. I doubt disney will come out with really good resort only deals, and we were quoted for 1/2 the price of what disney was. And we found pretty decent flights from Jetblue (about $200 pp) We were going to do the DDP, but we figured we really have no idea how our bodies will react to the race, and with the carb loading, we didn't want to pre-book meals that we may not be able to enjoy. I can't believe it's almost 1/2 way through October. Soon we'll be able to get our day and pay the down payment and it will be official.
