This is trip planning unfolding today.... I went to Guest Services Disney Springs this morn...
Castmember quote for 4 day 1 park only/ no hopper arrive first day of use Oct 2,2021
and “friends” we are trying to help in Az on phone now said it’s cheaper at Sam’s Club online..
Has anybody ever purchases Sam’s Club online ?

Anyway No discount:
Adult $478.24 plus child $460.62 = $938.82 plus tax $61.04 = $999.90

Castmember Discount adult $453.55 plus child $438 includes tax = $891

Need to try to find pricing for Sam’s online purchase cause I don’t think they sell them in stores... and how does Sams factor in different dates, etc? I guess the adult is similar but child is $10 cheaper according to Az friends... I wonder if that includes tax.
Sam’s adult $452.27
Sams child $427.26

Sam's is $490.64 for an adult 4-day base ticket starting 10/2. The same ticket for a child is $464.08. Prices include tax.

When I looked at Sam’s Club it was not any cheaper than what I paid directly through the Disney website. Like the previous poster mentioned, make sure you look at the fine print and include the taxes and fees in the total price

The best way to save that I've found is to get a rewards credit card and combine it with a wholesale club like Sam's buying giftcards.

So the $999.90 price in gift cards would be $959.60 for $1000 in gift cards. If you combine that with a 5% cash back (currently available for Discover cards) you'd end up with $47.98 cash back. That makes a grand total of $911.62 (8.83% savings)

The castmember discount you show (including tax) is a discount of 10.9% so that's definitely the best option if you have that available.

Ditto this is how I pay for all my trips, I maxed out my Discover bonus this quarter getting gift cards from BJs lol. But even if you don’t have a 5% rewards credit card you can do the same at Target with a Red Card.

When I go to Sam's Club, WDW tix aren't even available to purchase. Is it a local thing? I was able to purchase AP vouchers through Sam's club back in 2019.

Sorry, no idea. I don’t shop there in person, I do delivery from the website only. That was from the website.

Well, without a rewards credit card you can't double up on the already discounted cards at wholesale clubs.

No, but chances are pretty good people who don’t know how to do this probably don’t have a rewards card in the first place. Red Cards are much easier to get and are good for 5% off all year round with no warehouse club memberships required so it’s worth mentioning. Heck I have 2 (Discover It and CF) and still use my Red Card once I max out for the quarter.

Yes, I have bought tickets from Sam’s Club. It’s online from Sam’s Travel & Entertainment. You receive an email with a ticket number that you enter in your Disney account and it shows up in your MDE.

Sam’s is cheaper than full-price from Disney. The tax on Sam’s would probably be less if your state & local tax were cheaper. Mine is 9.5% - the $50 cheaper Sam’s tickets have more tax $ than the FL-bought tickets from Disney.

If you had the same tax rate for Sam’s as the Disney ticket has, the total would be $927.27

Buying from Disney, using Gift cards bought with Target RedCard 5% discount, total would be $943.86.

Yes! Now through June, Discover has 5% cash back at Warehouse Clubs. Makes a nice discount off tickets. (If you have Sam’s membership).

The tax charged on tickets is FL sales tax, not local. I live in PA where sales tax is 6% and I get the same numbers you got.
