I fully understand the changes in cruise and transportation, due to COVID.

At this point, I’m currently doing pre-cruise investigation.

I am looking for cruise transportation from Houston Hobby to my hotel (San Luis Resort), for pre-cruise, then AFTER Cruise from the port back to Houston Hobby. I discovered Saltwater Mom’s of Galveston on Facebook. (I DO NOT have flight information).

Has anyone used this company yet? It will be four (4) adults and two (2) children, ages seven (7) and four (4). A car seat/booster seat is a must for the little one and the older is questionable (she’ll be at the age of no longer needing a seat, so we I’m not sure if she’ll actually need anything.)

Does anyone know if this company provides car seats? Will they provide transportation from airport to hotel then back to airport? Also, are you able to request a stop along the way?? I was thinking Buc-ees. Also my mother-in-law uses a cane and will have a transportation scooter which is foldable into the size of a piece of luggage and is portable. Would they be able to work with this?
I understand not knowing the cost, but any ideas of what it MIGHT cost?

Again, this is just a information obtaining question and contacting the company is the best bet. Just wondering if anyone has used this company, yet, and able to provide their thoughts.

I had not heard of this organization, and have looked at Galveston transportation several times for cruises over the year. They do not appear to have a website, just the Facebook page. I would be concerned as they state they are independent drivers operating personal vehicles. Your trip might be just fine, and they may have very good service. But, if there is an accident it is possible the insurance company would deny any claims if they are not carrying rideshare or commercial driver insurance.

I don't know anything about the things for kids. It was just my dh and I. The service was very good. We used them in December (just about 6 weeks ago)

Look into folding boosters for your kid(s). I know Graco makes one and there are probably others. We took them on the plane in our carry on bags. It’s nice to have a seat you know is clean and not broken. You never know what you’ll get (or if you’ll get anything) from a car service or rental car agency. Bonus - it’s nice to have around at home in case you need a relative or friend to give your kid a ride somewhere.
