Sales Tax in Florida?

Hi everyone! Just getting all the particulars for our budget for our trip in 24 days. Could anyone tell me what to expect for sales tax on hotel, food, souveniers, restaurants, etc. I've heard sales tax differs from county to county. We're staying at HIFS so I'm not sure what county that falls into. Thanks so much folks.

Regular sales tax is 6%, so all your toys and food, etc will have 6% added to it. I'm sure the hotel tax is a little higher, but I odn't know exactly how much.

There is no tax on clothes and non-served food (think supermarket, not resturaunt).

Actually regular sales tax in Florida is 6.5% - we were just there and I checked some store receipts

Occupancy taxes are between 11 and 12 percent.

I live in SW Fl & our sales tax is 6% & I want to say in Orlando it is 7%. As far as clothing...YES there is tax, again the rate depends on the county you are in. Only food that isn't taxed is non-prepared (or cooked) food (like in super-markets). Hotel tax ranges from 11%-12% depending on the county...

Orange County (Orlando & Lake Buena Vista) is 6.5%. Osceola County (Kissimmee) is 7%. State tax on resort accomodations is 5% (that's in addition to the sales tax on the room).
