Sales/Good Deals for Things You Need on a Disney Trip

I have been browsing this thread, but have not read through every post, so I apologize if this has already been asked.

I am looking for a shoe bag organizer, the one that hangs over your door, so that I can use it to put shampoo, conditioner, deoderant, etc... in it and not have to leave it all on the sink. I got that idea from the Disboards. Does anyone know where I might find one at a reasonable price?

I got mine at the dollar store. It's not fancy,, but it does the job and has made it through 2 trips and going on a 3rd soon.

Got mine at the Dollar store too. It's great and keeps the vanity from being cluttered.

I found one at the Dollar Tree, but it didn't hang well at the Value resorts and the wire shelf in the closet area. Last year I took it and some spring clothes pins. They worked great to hold it up. The clothes pins were a HUGE help also to hang the items we washed in the sink. They were dry in a day vs being slightly damp from laying over the clothes line in the tub area.

I found the Mickey (and Minnie nad Princess) books at Walgreens!

For those still looking, try looking in the photo album section. That is where they were in 2 of the Walgreens I looked.


For those in the Lehigh Valley area, the Walgreen on S.Ville Rd in Bethlehem had them...........tons of them!

went to the dollar tree and found glow necklaces. One pack contained two necklaces and two bracelets and four connectors. Only 1$

then a package of 5 bracelets was $1

they also had pixie zip lock bags.

OK, stupid question, but does anyone know if you can take these in CARRY-ON luggage? I'd love to get these ahead of time and hand 'em out to kids when my mom and I are at the Halloween Party during our girl's trip, but I don't want to get checked at security because I have "illegal" items...

I've had good luck finding Disney themed stuff lately at our Target spot, and at the party center at the local Wal-Mart...

Joann Fabrics has a lot of their kids' activities/kids' camp stuff on sale that I'm going to put in our activity box for the kids. And I think they are just trying clear it out, so the sale should be on going.

I am not sure about the glow sticks in carry on. Last year I couldn't get a positive answer (I've read yes and no on this board), so I found the post office VHS box held the tubes from Dollar Tree perfectly. I just mailed them down to my hotel.

My reasoning was if they took them at security, I'd have to waste time and gas to find another Dollar Tree, so it was worth the $4 to just mail them and know I would have them. In the end, I had extras, so I found a mom the day we left and offered the extra ones to her.

at Michael's there are like 15 glowstick braclets or necklaces for $1. That's a better bargain that even the dollar store.

Just wanted to say that the Funtainers by Thermos are FANTASTIC. We just got back and it was HOT- 105+ with the humidity. My girls each used one and there was still ice in them after about 10 hours. They worked so well, my DH wants me to find the Star Wars one for him.

They have them at Walmart around me. They are in the aisle with the kids plates and bowls. I think that it is actually at the end of an aisle with rubbermaid containers. I saw the Toy Story and Tinker Bell ones just last week.

Target has them in the camping/sports dept. In mine they were near the Nalgene water bottles. They are cute and I almost got them--wish they had larger bottles for me.

I was in Party City yesterday and they had glow necklaces for 50% off. Also, they had glowstick eyeglasses that were clearanced for only 50 cents each!

I wanted to get some type of id holder and lanyard for our KTTW cards and our APs. DH wanted to make sure I didn't want official Disney. Which of course, I would have, but I read that they weren't sturdy and that they were too big for APs. I stopped at Staples and bought the one above for 4.99 (plus PA tax). I painted the LGMH on the clear vinyl pouch where you put in your ID. On the back it has a pocket where the strap is attached (that you can use) and a zipped pouch.

just ordered the small misting fans and ponchos for our trip....found great prices through Campmor. (because the misting fans are no where in our area it seems)

Last week I found glow wands at the Dollar Store. They had pink w/ flower and yellow w/ butterfly. I thought they'd be good for MNSSHP! ( they also had boys glow swords) And I also got glow bracelets and necklaces. All for $ 1 each. ( bracelets and necklaces were in a pk of 10)
