My husband's dealership was sold out and he was sold as an asset with the Dealership.
This dealership shut down a dealership in another town 40 miles away to run this one now.
He went to work last week Monday, and he was told he had 1 hour to pack his stuff, the Body Shop Manager from 40 miles away, didn't like being a car salesman, so he got my husband's job.
My husband worked 2 weeks, and a paycheck for 1 week, cause they pay every other week.Anyway, he went Friday to pick up his pay for the last 2 weeks he worked. When he got there they told him they just mailed it. When we got it Saturday, it was 1/4 of his normal pay.
He went to the dealership this morning and they said they paid him all his salary the first check he received.
That is not true, when the dealership took over, they promised him his salary till the end of December, then they would go over it again.
He has already filed for unemployment. But how do you get what you are suppose to be paid for work that you did. Do you have to get a lawyer. We already checked with unemployment about being terminated after we were told he was sold with the business as an asset and he couldn't be hired from his previous employer. I don't know who I am more mad at. My husband is in shock. But I guess this is what corporate Raiders do to businesses.
