After the light the unity candle and Michael escorted me around the table, I grabbed my train to move it behind me and then all the sudden a HUGE roach looking bug came scurrying out from under my train!!!

I said "Oh my God did you see that giant roach come out from under my dress!" Then Stan said it was a Palmetto bug and that I probably drug it in from outside since the WP has all of that low growing vegetation that they love.

Oh my God, I would have died! I would have screamed so loud everyone would have heard it. And calling a roach a "palmetto bug" does not make it not be a roach.

Congrats on the wedding; you look beautiful and you and your DH look so happy. You also look so much like one of my friends that I do a double-take every time I see your picture.

I love the groom's cake too!! I was thinking of doing this for my DF the night before our wedding at Ohana. Should I just call the GF bakery?

I had my EM order mine for me. I'm having my RD at 'Ohana too, and it looks like they haven't charged me the $75 fee. I hope they don't!

Awe Caroline, you and you DH look so happy together You looked so beautiful in your dress! It really does look like it was made for you! You handled the bug situation much better than I would have! I just read that part to my DF and he's like "yeah we would have definitely not finished our vows b/c you'd be having a panic attack" I'm glad everything worked out so well for you though! I love your dress- as everyone said-- and your hair and makeup looked really great! Your nephew was such a doll-- reminds me a lot of my nephew. Im glad they got the boat decorated for you.

What type of room did you stay at at OKW? Thats a great room... do you know the rate on it? DH would LOVE that! Hes a buff for a good hotel room (although we are rarely in it!).

Caroline - your dress is beautiful!! I'm glad you had a beautiful wedding. I did laugh at the palmetto bug. When I told my DH he just laughed and gave me that knowing look because I would have freaked. I don't deal well with large flying roaches... anyway, I can't wait to read the rest of your TR. -Michael is such a cuber! I love him! In a completely he's-you-husband-sort-of-way I am sooo glad he loved the cake! They did an awesome job on it!

you made such a beautiful bride!!! and yes you def handled the whole roach thing alot better than many of us I would have probably started jumping up and down to make sure there wasnt anymore up there and the cab is def a hoot!!! looks like everything turned out perfect and the cruise boat looked like alot of fun great trip report and thanks for the pics, it makes me feel like i was there. You were a stunning bride!!! Your gown is gorgeous!!! BTW, I also got my gown for our VR on eBay.

OKW is one of our "homes" at WDW and we love it there.

At our VR one of our friends had a bee fly up her dress, and as a child she was very allergic to beestings. She said she had her dress up over her head trring to get rid of it. I didn't know anything about it until well after the ceremony was over. Fortunately she wasn't stung!
